Tasty drinks that are healthy 'pours', wonderful breadth of food. Japanese hot pot was particularly wonderful. Breads were fresh and beautifully prepared. Service excellent, and we sat outdoors on a patio. Would suggest for anyone interested in tasty food and good service
Food was really great. Service started great (we got there at 5:30-catching a show at 8. Planning on walking to the theatre so wanted to give ourselves plenty of time). However, once it began filling up, we hardly saw our waiter. We had to go find him for our check, he passed by our table and realized he forgot it, ran and got it, but we were late to the show. They probably need to hire additional people. Atmosphere was lovely, food was great-service lacking.
The service was exceptional with our waiter being charming and pleasant. The pacing of the meal was perfect. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Our main courses were all healthy but we were decadent by sharing a Lobster Mac n Cheese as an appetizer. Amazing! And for dessert we shared a Banana Cream Pie, which is still the best.
Great atmosphere with music every evening after 6 - an impulse booking after walking past eralier in the day - good food and friendly service!

The Redeye is across from Carnegie Hall and a short distance to the theater district. When I dined this last time, arriving at 5:30, I noticed many tables left before I did so gathered many were attending a show. But Redeye is also a very good restaurant, comprehensive menu to suit all, very well prepared and presented. Prompt thoroughly professional service. The dover sole I had is deboned at the table, a treat and somewhat of a rarity these days, and I strongly recommend it.
Redeye Grill is a great fish plus find. The food is delicious. The bar is great with home made chips and spicy popcorn. I'll be back.
Brunch and celebration for 3...the service was amazing food delicious, coffee always magically full.
Huge portions. Great food. Excellent wait staff. Couldn't have asked for a better date night dinner. Worth the money for the portions you get. Great job Redeye Grill!!!
