We had walked past this restaurant for years but never seriously included it in our list of must-visits. On the spur of the moment, we were looking for a nice dinner on Friday night and stumbled upon the name on a list of recommended restaurants in our hotel's guide. What a find! The ambience is fresh and creative with great Red Grooms and other modern artwork. Lots of options to suit everyone. Sushi is very good. Some vegetarian options. Nice midtown scene. Friendly service.

Thanks for the special attention to celebrate my son's birthday. Surprise chocolate mousse cake with sparkler. "Secret" sushi burger very good. Lobster mac and cheese delicious. And I would never order "mac & cheese" but tried my son's side order!
Had a show at Carnegie and Redeye is conveniently across the street. Outstanding cocktails to start (I enjoyed Illegally Blonde while hubby had a traditional martini). We opted for oysters and stone crab to start - fabulous. We both had the Chilean Sea Bass main which was perfectly prepared, and we shared the AMAZING banana cream pie for dessert - save room for that!
Redeye has a great service staff, but the food is pricey for average seafood. The lobster truffle macaroni is a standout appetizer, which is enough for two people. Good place to go if you're on a business expense account.
The yellowtail sashimi appetizer was amazing. My husband and I had the cod which was delicious. My son had the lobster which he said was amazing and my son's fiancée had the filet mignon which she said was perfect. The service, decor, food, portions and music were all wonderful. We will definitely go back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
This is our second time dining at the RE grill - we loved it. The food, service (Angela was a gem) the bartenders - (Matt and Louis) were great. Our meals were excellent and our steaks were cooked perfect!! The piano player was an added delight!!! It was a very enjoyable night and we will return.
Was a great place to eat before our concert at Carnegie Hall. It was evening so I didn't notice the outside dining, but if we were there during the day I would have enjoyed sitting outside.
