Get directionsAlways a great meal in a fabulous location and lovely restaurant.
This was our second visit to this restaurant. Food and service were absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend. Compared to typical restaurants with limited, narrow space in the Theater District, this place is wide open, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating without feeling crowded. Our only complaint was that our reservation was for 11:30 AM on a Saturday. We had printed out both the brunch and lunch menus to review on our bus trip to NYC. The lunch menu also showed a pre fixe lunch. We had planned on ordering from the lunch ... read more
Food is phenomenal; impeccable service. One of my favorite places to dine in the city. Have also used one of the private rooms for an executive dinner and it exceeded all expectations. Will be visiting again and again.
The Kale salad was the best I've had - would actually come back "just" for that. Also reall good crunchy tuna roll - loved it too. My colleague had the lobster salad and finished the entire thing - SO good. Liked our seating and table by the window, a little elevated. Accommodating Maitre D.
Red eye never disappoints: the food is reliably fresh and interesting, the service is invariably professional and intelligent, and the drinks are very well made. Great location. fabulous food, pricey but fun. Would go there again, especially if late.
Very nice restaurant and right across from Carnegie Hall, where we were going to attend an event.
Very accommodating waitress and staff--nick manager. They made sure our Exp was memorable by taking feedback seriously and adjusting our order to perfection. They had new staff and maybe a few people short but they still worked so hard to make the Exp full filling. I appreciate all the passion and dedication. Food was great and nice to have bottomless mimosas and Bellini.
The Red Eye Grill is one block from Carnegie Hall, which is its greatest asset. The food and service were good, not great. I had a crab cake and shrimp entree. The crab cakes were very good but small, and the shrimp were overcooked and dry. Service was passable but the waiter failed to bring a second piece of bread. Wine by the glass selection was fine. Overall, a B and my recommendation is driven primarily by its proximity to Carnegie Hall.
