Very overpriced and lacking much options on their menu. We paid $44 for a lobster Cobb salad that was merely a few pieces of lettuce, bacon and blue cheese. The lobster in the salad was good but definitely not worth almost $50. This place has such great potential but is seriously coming up short on all fronts. I would not recommend or return to Redeye Grill.
Dined here over this past weekend before seeing a show at Carnegie Hall. The location was ideal for a show at CH. We had a reservation, showed up on time - immediately seated. HOWEVER, we then sat for 30 minutes before the waiter came over to take our drink order. Due to our time constraints, I wanted to order dinner at the same time but he zipped by so fast I couldn't even get a word in after he captured our drink orders. Onion rings were undercooked and slimy. I got the $60 NY Strip which came with fries. The fries were also undercooked, mushy and bland. The steak was the worst one I've had in memory. The outside was charred and towards the end had a weird burnt almost sour taste. The inside of the (medium) steak was chewy. I asked for Bernaise sauce and they broght peppercorn. It was just a really disappointing experience.

Although our waiter was pleasant he was not that attentive. Our entrees took over an hour to be delivered to our table. Nothing we ordered required a huge amount of prep. I had grilled salmon with asparagus and my husband had lobster mac and cheese. When my husband asked our waiter why our meals hadn’t arrived after an hour of waiting he seemed surprised that we hadn’t gotten them. The couple next to us had the same problem. The food was good when it finally came.
Don’t waste your time. Service was terrible even though we had the manager waiting on us. Waited over an hour for our meal and we were offered a glass of Prosecco as compensation. They truly do not understand the concept of service recovery. Restaurant was recommended by Hilton Club. We suggested they stop recommending this restaurant. I don’t normally say bad things, but seriously, find another restaurant.
it was terrible. We have gone there for many years and this was a very bad night. our table was under an air conditioning vent ..,a:c was on! althoug it was below freezing outside
Service was particularly bad. Twenty -five minutes passed before a waiter approached our table. And another twenty- five before first course was served. We had been seated more than an hour before entrees we reserved. The food. Just mediocre. There was a singer somewhere…..but she could be heard over the very vibrant noise in the room.
Absolute zoo Packed to the gills and incompetent staff Too jammed for todays issues esp since 90% of the patrons were 75+ Never again
