My recent visit to Red Eye Grill was, unfortunately, a frustrating experience. Despite the promising menu and ambiance, the service fell far short of expectations. Skirt steak tough. Neither person could eat it at $44 each. Bacon underdone. $269 for not a great lunch.
Overall good experience. Food was good. Service was quite poor. Our waiter would disappear for long periods.
The food was good, the portions are quite small. The service was horrible. No one came to our table after we ordered food, our drinks were empty and no one asked if we wanted dessert or refills. We had to flag someone down for the check.
Cold food. Bad table location. Was expecting more so the overall experience just didn’t meet my expectations.
We went for Happy Hour before concert at Carnegie Hall and sat at the bar as we were pressed for time and could not eat full meal at table. The happy hour menu was very nice and reasonably priced The bar was very disorganized. There was no designated bartender and they rotated with wait staff. Apps came out and server walked around the bar not knowing who ordered what. We were ignored and had to speak up to get drinks or too order more food. The service was absolutely terrible. Waited about 15 minutes for drinks and then waited another 20 just to swipe the credit card for the bill.
Horrible seat. I’m handicapped and use a cane. No room for my cane. Waiter put it between my seat and the patron seated next to me. Seating arrangement was very uncomfortable.
Service was slow. Shrimp not de-veined. Notified wait staff with no resolution. Meh experience. Would not recommend.
