This was pulled from a Google Review I did and their response to me. Beautiful wedding or event venue. The waterfall outdoors and the pond is gorgeous! Absolutely lovely venue. We had some issues with wifi, theft of some of my friends wedding cards and there weren't cameras or they weren't working so my friend had a Dickens of a time getting those gift cards cancelled and some she just lost and can't thank those who gave to her. Here's the sad thing about this place - they are arrogant AND rude. Not only did the Wedding Coordinator ruin the wedding for our entire family, the Venue Director defended her (see their response below). As the Father of the Groom, none of this was shared with the bride and groom as to try and not ruin their evening, but it ruined the experience for our entire family. I was a guest at a wedding last weekend. While the venue is terrific and beautiful, the event was marred with the following: An EXTREMELY rude and discourteous event coordinator Ran out of three categories of food with three tables not having eaten yet Ran out of adult beverages Wrong name of the bride on prop photos from photo booth I was personally insulted by the event coordinator. I will remember this event for all of the wrong reasons.
I want to express my extreme disappointment in the overall impression I have of your venue. Although the grounds were beautiful, I was extremely disappointed in the professionalism of your venue director, Abigail. Abigail is obviously inexperienced in customer satisfaction, time management and the basic entertainment business. I attended a wedding there last week and would never recommend this company! The setting was beautiful, ambiance was too. It's a bit of a drive but the seclusion was intimate. The company that actually runs the event must have thought that location was enough! The person in charge did not think things through. The bar ran out of cold beer within an hour, warm beer was no sooner put on ice and then served immediately = warm beer. I am not the bad review type of person, but I feel the need to share with all of you my struggles in dealing with this venue. Do not pick a venue solely on its looks! I booked this venue a year and a half before my wedding, under different management, and was told my contract would be honored. Parts of it were but others were not. Although the venue itself was nice the Casitas (rooms you can stay in on property) need their own review. There have been nothing but issues in making a reservation all the way up to the day of our stay. When arriving on site we had no idea how to get to or check in for our rooms. We were lucky to find a staff member during the event and ask about our rooms which created a big concern as it seemed they did not actually reserve any rooms for us. The venue itself is amazing and easy to fall in love with - rightly so. Working with the Lodge pre event was good; however this went extremely sour on the day of our wedding. To begin with, we clearly asked for a set amount of tables which was drawn up into a floor plan and sent to us by the Lodge. However on the day itself, we were two tables short.
