This was the second time to use this barber and I came back because I was happy with the results the first time. However, this time he completely screwed up my hair. When I came in I requested a straight back undercut. He asked how far up I wanted the shorter section to go and I informed him to follow the pattern the hair was in at the time as what I asked for was what I had before, and what he had done for me before. Brian is a whiz. Best haircuts I've gotten in the Austin area and I've been lots of places
I was looking for a barber for a beard trim to clean it up since I'm going to a wedding this weekend. I hate getting my beard trimmed and don't trust many barbers since the last two hacked on it. I found this shop and Brian got good reviews. I made an appt online, got the confirmation email. The next day I showed up and Brian could not find my confirmation (thru no fault of his own, system software error). If you know what you want, stay away! You will get whatever he feels like doing at the time. If you want to be a guinea pig for the whim of a bored barber, go here. You will be overcharged and get the cut HE wants, with total disregard for what you want. Rest assured he wouldn't go out in public wearing the cut he gave me. My only compensation is that my hair will grow out soon and a competent barber will be able to rid me of his butchery. Did I mention I'm not happy with my cut?

This barber shop is legit. After my previous barber retired I was lost trying to find someone to tame a luxurious beard and a hair that is fading. I have been to some bad places and ok places but Brian is top notch. Treating my beard with the respect it deserves and fade that blends in. Some people look for a forever home and others look for a forever barber. I think I found my barber to last through the ages. I would definitely recommend Brian and his shop.
Hands down the best hair cut experience of my life - this guy does strong work for sure and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to leave feeling better about themselves!
Great cut and free beer. This is a cool little place the guy gives a great hair cut. Fridge with cold drinks. Washes your hair trims beards. I am excited cause it's close to home too.
Retro Barbershop is awesome. I really liked the laid back vibe with lots of dark wood and antique type fixtures. The barber / owner is fantastically skilled and precise. This is the coolest looking haircut I've gotten in a while. In fact, it's a shame that such a nice haircut is wasted on a minivan-driving dad type like me. As a previous patron of bustling and popular places like Bird's and Finleys, Retro was really impressive. It was a similar service taken to a classier, higher-quality level. I've found my new barber!
