Wonderful food from start to finish.
Fantastic place to celebrate something "special". Each time we return is better than the last.
After a hectic & grueling 7 hour car ride to Wauwatosa to attend the "White Coat Ceremony" at the Medical School of WI. for my daughter - we made reservations for the family at this charming restaurant. The comfortable atmosphere, service and outstanding food was the end to an eventful day. We all agreed that even in smaller, charming towns - you can still find excellent restaurants that cater to families of foodies! Of all the Bartolotta Restaurants, this is by far the best. The food is great and the service excels.
Staff was knowledgeable with great Italian accents on the names of the food. Caesar salad was the best I've had. Ravioli was slightly oily and salty but otherwise tasty.
We had a great meal. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. The place was busy for a Monday, and also a bit on the noisy side, but it did not affect our dining.
Had the prix fixe menu. The appetizer was clams in a spectacular sauce.....I wanted to drink it. Pasta was perfectly done. The grilled fish (Sea bream) was excellent. For dessert I had the cheese course. The one cheese had truffle oil sprinkled on it.......COSMIC! I am from Chicago and I will be back.
I now live in the Boston area, but grew up not so far from Wauwatosa, in Menomonee Falls. I had seen Bartolotta's featured on the PBS show Diary of a Foodie. The restaurant was as good, or better than the delicious food higlighted on that show. My fionce is Italian American, and she agreed that this food was spectacular.
