As always, we had a fantastic experience at Bartolotta's. Everything was wonderful - the service, the wine, and of course, the food. We consistently find Bartolotta's to have the best service in Milwaukee. Their waitstaff is very knowledgeable and always very pleasant. We ordered the special black truffle tasting menu and it was a real treat.
Good but not great this time. Timing was off in the kitchen, or something. Special black truffel menu--was good but not great. Wine parings were good. Starter and 2nd main course were over cooked. Very atypical experience for the Bartolotta food group. Pleasant experience and meal for $125.00, but disappointing at $300.00.
Great food and always an interesting menu, service is somewhat pretentious and the waiters insist on hanging their backsides over your table while talking to the table next to you. I will never understand why a one room restuarant and bar can't combine the dinner and bar bills. Guess everyone wants their tips.
Our meal at Ristorante Bartolotta in Wauwatosa was excellent. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive. During our visit they were featuring their special Seasonal Black Truffle menu which is a special prix fixe menu available with or without wine pairings. However, we opted to order a la carte. I love the ambience of this place, especially the photographs of the people from the past. The food is delicious! We particularly enjoyed the Calamari, the Grilled bone-in pork chop and the Tiramisu! The wine list is impressive! The service is friendly, attentive - but not intrusive. The staff is helpful and expert on food and wine. Excellent dining experience to which we return time and time again.
One of the best meals ever. Pasta was excellent. Sarah was the best waitress we have ever had! Excellent experience.
Very good authentic Italian menu and attentive service. Even with the quality of the food, I'd rate this as only a moderate value due to the small portions for the price.

Outstanding service, and my birthday was acknowledged with a free desert and candle. Food quality was excellent, but portions were a bit small for the price. Overall, a fun spot.
