We had a fabulous evening at Bartolotta's in Tosa this past Monday! Our waiter was exceptional.....funny, well versed in all entrees, wine, etc....and made us feel comfortable with our timing - as we wanted to talk for awhile with wine/drinks before we ordered. Actually he was amazing with the descriptions of the menu and the 3 course offering that they have. (sorry we don't remember his name!). Good, but not the "great" I've come to expect from Bartollata restaurants. Pasta first course was a disapointment. I'd go again though. I felt that Roots and Hinterlands were both better.
Ristorante Bartolotta has been and always will be one of my favorite places to eat. As usual the service was impeccable. This is how food at an Italian restaurant should taste.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the coziness of the restaurant as well as its decor - can meet different type of dining expectations whether a casual night out or a romantic dinner for two. The food is simple but delicious!! The Carpaccio di Manzo alla Veneta was absolutely wonderful and a great light appetizer. My boyfriend and I then split the Pomodoro, Cipolla Rossa e Gorgonzola, DELICIOUS and just enough when split. I loved my entree of Grigliato Misto di Mare. This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for: excellent food and service.
We had a wonderful time, wonderful food, wonderful people, it was just the best night we could have hoped for.
Ristorante Bartolotta was awesome as always - never a disappointment. The food was delicious, the service was top notch - always there when you needed something but not intrusive. This is the kind of restaurant that allows for a nice long meal and the ability to linger in between courses or over dessert. The menu is not large but you can't go wrong with any of the choices.
The Price Fixe menu for dinner was outstanding, I'm not a fan of Polenta, but really enjoyed it. We look forward to returning
