One of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. The food is wonderful, with carpaccio appetizer, veal chops, veal and/or duck ragu and white truffle (Fall) specialities always consistently excellent. Their end-of-meal cheese sampling is outstanding as well. Good wine list and the use of top-end wine glasses (always a plus), excellent and attentive (without being obsequious) service and landmark setting combine to make Bartolatta's consistently one of Milwaukee's very best restaurants. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a wonderful experience. The food was stellar living up to the reputation of Bartolotta. Service was well paced and not intrusive. The hand made pasta in the Duck Ragu was perfectly cooked al dente. The ricotta and spinach ravioli with truffle butter was mild yet rich in flavor. I've been lucky enough to eat at Mario Batali's Babbo in NYC and, honestly, Ristorante Bartolotta is right on par in terms of cuisine. The restaurant is surprisingly small, so be sure to have reservations. Take your time; enjoy your food.
Due to small size, tables very small & close together. Was very crowded & therefore noise level was very loud. Nevertheless, the food & service was outstanding.
I highly encourage you to ask the chef to put together a special tasting menu just for you. It can make a special night out into a lifetime memorable experience! It's not on the menu...you have to ask.
Very overpriced for an unimpressive meal.
Though it's a little noisy and the tables are a bit close together, the food and service at Bartolotta's in Tosa is always outstanding. Highly recommend.
My wife and I have dined at Ristorante Bartolotta several times since it opened and always enjoy the experience. This was our fourth time celebrating Valentine's Day there. The food is always well done - the atmosphere is cozy and romantic - the service attentive and prompt.
