I took my girlfriend here for our valentine's day dinner. It was by far the most romantic and amazing restaurant i have ever been to. Very excellent food and reasonably priced food. The lighting and atmosphere is just perfect. I would like to thank them for such a great experience

Spectacular! Service, Food, and Atmosphere was perfect for Valentine's Day
We arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation; however, it's very, very difficult to keep later reservation times prompt so we waited. There was an open seat at the bar, but beware that the bar is very small. Our bartender was extremely pleasant and they had a great martini menu along with a great wine list. The dining experience at Ristorante Bartolotta is always a pleasurable experience. The wait staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The restaurant is on the small side so when they are busy it can get a bit loud, but not enough to where you cant hear the person across the table from you. The food is incredible, a very good fit for foodies. The only complaint that I could ever have is the fact that for an Italian restaurant the vegetarian options are limited. Very nice restaurant. The waitress was a bit absent minded, forgot to bring water, never did mention if there were any 'specials' on the menue that night and just seemed distacted. The food however was excellent and the compimentary desert for the "birthday guest" was a nice touch. We will definately return.
The original Bartolotta's restaurant continues to be my favorite place to dine in Milwaukee. It has few equals, e.g., the other Bartolotta's restaurants, and none better.
The food, when our server remembered what we ordered, was excellent. I would steer clear of the house salad but both entrees and dessert were very good. The service was spotty at best. The server said the word "wonderful" about 15 times in her introduction of the specials which makes me doubt its "wonderfulness". She didn't remember who ordered which glass of wine (table of 2), forgot I ordered a salad and we were alerted by the assistant that he sprained his wrist so peppering our salad would be difficult. Only negative as trying to find parking. Otherwise, we had a night to remember. My fillet was EXCELLENT and my girl's ravioli was wonderful. Lindsey and Todd provided outstanding service. We'd go agian in a heartbeat.
