I was a patient here and it was amazing there i dont know why so many bad reviews are on here.They had amazing food, games, activities, watching tv, and listing to music I felt safe there and I just got out yesterday and I wanna go back I recommend this place it was the best experience for a mental health place.

I was here in the beginning of 2021. I have no idea why are reviews bad .. it wasn't that bad . The staff had a attitude as in a strong voice but mean? I've never seen a mean staff there , they rather joke around . Maybe because we weren't as a big issues ? My adult daughter was transferred to Ridgewood from a local hospital after experiencing a psychotic episode earlier this month. She remained there for 8 days. The staff and medical team was very attentive to her needs. They kept her safe and provided her with adequate care and appropriate treatment to stabilize her. This place is amazing. I had an OCD panic attack and was sent here, and they got me back to basics: coloring, playing volleyball, taking naps, thinking about why my life has value. The psychiatrists are so insightful and supportive. The food is good. I like how they don't waste any food: the peas and carrots we had the first night appeared in various other meals later on. It was moving to see people who were so broken but were trying to hard to get back on track. I will never forget this experience. Go Riverwooods!!!

Go out of business or spend the money to hire QUALIFIED staff. It is hard to believe that they are in business due to the reputation and patients' reports of poor and improper treatment.

This "hospital " gets a ZERO. My husband is here now bleeding from a major artery, and NO ONE seems concerned. They do more lying in the updates and charts than they do anything else. He's been waiting over 5 hours. The staff makes you wonder if they are Bona-fide Healthcare workers, nurses, or doctors. RUN ‍ ‍ FOR YOUR LIFE. If you don't believe me, check their 2.4 rating.

Warning!! Do not take your loved there! They do NOT return calls. They will not communicate with you, the family, in in any way unless they need paperwork. My brother-in-law is mentally handicapped and unable to use telephones unless he has help. We called everyday at least twice sometimes three times a day. And never heard back from anyone!!!!! Discharge procedures are disastrous!! Again do not take your loved one there!! I had to give a star to get this posted but trust me they do not deserve it

If they ask you if you want to go to this place say no I wish this place would get shut down I just got out of there yesterday morning and had the worst 5 days of my life there where only to staff that where actually nice Mrs Kim and Mrs Chris half of them you can't even understand what they're saying most of them are very unprofessional screaming and yelling at other patients. Please sign my petition to shut them down: https://c.org/ZGHrJBMCWH if i could give it zero stars I would. I still have ptsd from this facility. the staff are incredibly mean, you are 1000% treated like an animal, completely inhumane. You are their lab rat, prisoner to do whatever they want with you. I urge the state of GA to do way better. this was hell on earth.
