This facility is fucking JOKE!!!! The so called staff is there to get a check and most of them are barely qualified to take care of a cat. Hey Queen . U think I will EVER FORGET YOUR MISTREATMENT OF NE? IF OTHERS??

The first day my son was transported nurse called he's so agitated and asked me what meds was he on I told her well of course he is agitated coming in on a 10/13 has Autism and needs stabilization and meds regulated and she needs to go read his file. I had to send the police twice to the facility because my son was assaulted by a patient that was getting treatment in the facility. Worst week of my life was spent here 2 years ago... and it wasn't cause it was a behavioral health program, it was 100% cause of the staff. Speaking on the adolescent unit as a 17 year old at the time... I was never able to talk to my family because they did not monitor how long kids were on the phone and who they were talking to. We had one hour of phone time I believe for everyone there, and quite a few people spent the entire time speaking to their boyfriends. Patient care is totally not comprehensible!!! This facility is just taking individuals in and not truly accessing their mental help. Giving drugs to them without complete accessing the individuals for a check. Unbelievable!!! This place should be under investigation!!! With the amount of negative views there seems to be no accountability. 85 beds in this facility and families are closed off to visit or contact. Isolation isn't good to individuals who are not in harm's way of loving family members.

Riverwoods Behavioral Health is an absolute disgrace when it comes to patient mental health care, and quite frankly, they shouldn't even be allowed to operate. My recent discharge from that wretched place after enduring 4 days and 3 nights of sheer misery has left me utterly disgusted. It's abundantly clear management is more interested in wringing every last penny out of its victims than actually providing any semblance of genuine care. Never spent a day in this place but had to visit the facility & the only way I could describe it is "PURE TRASH"! The staff seems play communication games with the patients and the family members by saying things then deflecting from what was initially communicated. No one on the same is on the same page, so a lot of the conversation is ill advised & misleading. This place exudes a den of racket to bleed the patients and family members of money with no real help or assistance.

NEVER send a love one here. They only care about money. Not a person. They made it very clear it was a business and not a mental health program. Stay away..

This place is pretty rough. I felt very scared when I was here for only a week. About 7 days. They dont talk well with family.I had to be taken off several medicines and had a breakdown before i got sent there and was in my local hospital with a 1013. Mind you, I am still learning to walk again and have had lots of anxiety. Being in a psych ward is SO awful when youre going thru this. I hate this place. I was transferred here from my local hospital because of a suicide attempt. Keep in mind I'm a kid so I was in the adolescent's unit for kids 10-18. They were so rude to everyone the head of the kid's unit even told us "I don't care what you guys say about me because at the end of the day I put this key in and go home while you guys don't."
