The house was nice. We loved it. However, we had some problems. There weren't any waste baskets in any of the bathrooms, the towel rack fell off the wall in one of the King size bathroom, the closet handles fell off when I opened the closet door. My daughter's friends slept in the bunk room and one friend found a pair of fake eyelashes under the bed covers of one bunk bed and the other friend found a fake eyelash on one of the other pillows on another bunk bed. We booked a beachside property through vrbo; Royal Destinations manages the property rental. We were 4 hours into a 9 hour drive to the property for spring break when we received a call from Royal Destinations that the property we had booked had construction paper on the windows that was supposed to be removed that morning. We were told we would not be able to use the balcony and were given the choice between staying at the property or staying at another property in another area and not on the beach side. We rented the home Gone Coastal the week of July 4th. We searched for months for a home with this layout and an elevator as we had a newborn with us, other children and an elderly parent. There are a TON of stairs - definitely a work out when the elevator doesn’t work which it didn’t the entire time we stayed there. Super frustrating on packing/unloading days with the kids, baby, etc. There were small things that were frustrating - you cannot touch a door from the inside/outside to the pool without an alarm going off. We shared Sea4Ever with 2 other families with a total of 6 adults and 8 kids. The house itself was amazing for our groups' dynamic, plenty of spaces for people to retreat to when needed but the open areas never really felt crowded either. The locations was fantastic, just across the street from the beach, within walking distance to Seaside and a quick drive to Publix and the main road. RecommendedI rented unit 204 for our family. At first impression, it was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. We quickly discovered blinds that were damaged and could not be raised or lowered. Additionally, the master shower drained so slowly we had to use the plunger. The ice maker was not functioning so we found the manual and had to clean the air filter and learn how to reset the ice maker. It was shocking to see the level of service we received from a company with a 4.8 rating on Google. I would advise anyone to avoid renting a property managed by Royal Destinations. The house was dirty from top to bottom and their offer to rectify the situation was to bribe us with a cleaning fee refund in exchange for not leaving a negative review, which we obviously did not accept.
