The Salt Cellar is a Valley landmark restaurant, serving fresh seafood since 1971! Sourcing fresh from across the country as well as outside this country. i.e., Ora King Salmon from New Zealand. They fly in whole live Maine lobster and open them table side for their guests. Their fresh fish includes halibut, Chilean sea bass, Florida grouper, ahi as well as George’s Bank sea scallops and #1 white Mexican shrimp.

More of a bar that serves meals than an actual restaurant. One room which gets crowded and smokey with the locals on the weekends. The hamburgers are good.
This place failed to impress me. The price is high, and the lobster was flavorless and rubbery.
I went by word of mouth and what an overpriced dark and cold dump, located across from the projects, I wasted my time and money on. In fact I called to voice my complaint to the incompetent manager and he never even offered me a 2nd chance to prove themselves. Good food, but in my opinion it was a but overpriced. The ambiance seemed out of date. Service was good but overall I'm left with a feeling that wouldn't bring me back.
We went here recently using. groupon. My guy loves loves seafood so this was an opportunity to try one of the only seafood restaurants in the valley. I like their menu in that they fly in fresh fish and seafood from all over. Each menu item lists where the seafood was caught. Unique underground location that might make some people uneasy. The fish is always fresh and well prepared. Nice place for a special meal.
Needs an update!. The meal was fine, but the restaurant has shoe-horned more table since the last time we visited, making it crowded and uncomfortable. My fish was cooked perfectly, my companions lobster slightly over-cooked. But the vegetable medley accompaniment look and tasted frozen, and not in a good way. Yelp this place is great one of my favorite happy hours and if you sit in the dinning room they crack all of your shellfish at our table get the shrimp san remo and ask for extra bread for dipping!
