The food was really over salted. Steaks were good, not great. Sides were salty especially mushrooms. The wine list is lacking for a steakhouse. Had the shrimp cocktail to start that had about 8 shrimp on it. Could have had 4-5 nicer ones. Overall impression is this restaurant is ok but not great. Service was slow to start but picked up later. We probably waited 20 minutes before our drinks came.
The food here is usually good - lots of variety for people for people who don't want steaks too. Have to say I had really poor service the last time I was there. Server was unfriendly and extremely slow. They seem to have had some staff changes recently - maybe that was the issue.

I took my wife for dinner last Sunday night and we had a wonderful time, first with dinner then we sat at the bar for a while after. From start to finish the staff was friendly, polite and efficient. For dinner my wife had the Grilled Salmon while I had the Valentine's special Prime Rib. The food was very nicely done but I was disappointed with the portion size of the prime rib which left me still hungry despite being more expensive that the regular steak entrees which I've always found to be quite filling. A quality steak that failed to disappoint. Portions were properly set and the staff were knowledgable and friendly. I would take clients here.
Good food, great environment, just $$$$ Waitress are cute!
Appetizers (tuna tartare and calamari) were superb. Pasta and steak salad entrees were average. Steak salad was meant to be chimichurri, but that seasoning was pretty much missing in action. Overall the meal was good, but overall value was not as strong as I'd have liked.
This may not bother anyone else, but after our delicious calamari appetizer we laid our knives and forks across our appetizer plate and when the server came to take away the plates she picked up the used fork and put it back on the table. Now when you are paying around $100 pp for dinner the restaurant should be able to afford to wash a couple of forks. Had a business dinner and wanted a quiet atmosphere. Waiters (multiple) were too attentive and frequently interrupted our discussion. Food was good but not great. Restaurant was busy which was a good sign in Calgary these days.
