Fair prices for the quality of food. Callemari appetizer is very good, and the filet mignon steak was perfect. Nice and classy service overall, and great place to take your girl out for dinner.
As a party of three with reservations we were seated upon arrival. We able to speak without shouting across the table which is a big plus for me when dining. The food was excellent and was delivered in a timely manner. The staff left us alone to eat and converse until we were finished. The halibut was very good. The steak was very chewy and full of grizzle. When this was brought to the attention of the manager the explanation was that once in a while they will get a steak that is tough. This isn't acceptable at this Price point. Comped a glass of wine, $10.00 for a $26.00 dollar steak , management might want to review this policy.
Ate here many times, it's fabulous everytime.
While in Calgary for meetings, a few of us were in dire need of a good steak and Saltlik was close to our hotel. From the minute we walked in, we were treated like old friends. Drinks and appies arrived quickly and were exactly as ordered. The only downfall to the evening was that 2 of the 6 meals that were ordered were cold. The staff was extremely apologetic and made things right in quick order. That being said, the steaks were fantastic!! We all left feeling fat n sassy and will be back as soon as possible.
Really nice meal. I was travelling in Calgary and really wanted a great steak. The surprise was the amazing lobster mashed potatoes. For dessert I had to try the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing and insanely beautiful, but I barely ate half as I was so full from the meal.
We had dinner at Saltlik for a special occasion after having a luke warm experience at our last outing. Wow, what a difference a couple of months makes. We were warmly greeted, had a great server with a sense of humour(unfortunately not a Habs fan though) and all of our meals were excellent. The only downside was we didn't have time for desert. Well done Saltlik, we will be back soon and tell our friends about our great meal.
thank you for a great meal and such wonderful service! the night would have been perfect except for the screaming baby 3 booths down... some parents! LOL we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the service staff - they were all wonderful and so beautifully outgoing and humorous...we enjoy the interaction so much! The food was delicious from the cheese bread through the entrees (you don't HAVE to have steak but the filet was cooked perfectly! and the hunter chicken rocked) all the way through dessert.
