Really nice meal. I was travelling in Calgary and really wanted a great steak. The surprise was the amazing lobster mashed potatoes. For dessert I had to try the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing and insanely beautiful, but I barely ate half as I was so full from the meal.
We had dinner at Saltlik for a special occasion after having a luke warm experience at our last outing. Wow, what a difference a couple of months makes. We were warmly greeted, had a great server with a sense of humour(unfortunately not a Habs fan though) and all of our meals were excellent. The only downside was we didn't have time for desert. Well done Saltlik, we will be back soon and tell our friends about our great meal.
thank you for a great meal and such wonderful service! the night would have been perfect except for the screaming baby 3 booths down... some parents! LOL we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the service staff - they were all wonderful and so beautifully outgoing and humorous...we enjoy the interaction so much! The food was delicious from the cheese bread through the entrees (you don't HAVE to have steak but the filet was cooked perfectly! and the hunter chicken rocked) all the way through dessert. Great steak and the staff were very organized. Although there were probably 4 people with various tasks everyone was on time yet we felt no urgency. The steaks were done to perfection. We'll be back.
Absolutely amazing. I've never had a steak dinner before and this one was absolutely amazing. Bill was about $150 for me and the husband: two steaks three alcoholic beverages and dessert which was about what we expected. Worth it tho. We wanted to go out with friends, without the kids and have a really nice dinner. The only downside was the table two doors down from us were laughing super loud, like obnoxiously so, shrieking etc. And no one told them to tone it down so it was hard to hear each other and the waitress a few ti... read more
It had been years since I dined at Saltik. The food was fresh, the service was very slow. Our waitress was very sweet and kind and all but took forever to get order and to get our bill and we only had 60 min for lunch and took us 90 min in total for pasta dish and salad.
I've never had a loaded baked potato before, and I'm certainly glad I tried it here. Highly recommend the New York Striploin, and we will most certainly be back for more.
A great lunch spot, however I wish they would bring back the shaved beef dip sandwich
