We had such an nice experience. Service was excellant.
Great as per usual, good atmosphere, food and service.
Didn't seem like they wanted to participate in the taste of Calgary. Food tasted great, had some mix ups with the main course. There was 2 options for dessert and was told it would take 20 minutes if you wanted the chocolate cake because the portion is smaller. Lack of communication between food runners, server and hostess.
Had dinner at Saltlik during the "Great Taste Menu" week. The salad first course with strawberries and goats cheese was delicious. I had the steak for mains which was equally good, but I think it would have been enhanced with a sauce. Whilst it wasn't dry, it was just lacking something extra. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was gorgeous but unfortunately I couldn't finish it as it was very rich. As usual, great wine list, great service and a lovely restaurant to dine in.
Really enjoyed our Big Taste dinner. Music was a bit too loud, but with a bar inside the restaurant that's to be expected. Attentive staff.

Today, I went to Saltik for the first time, anticipating the Big Taste menu. I have heard mixed opinions about Saltik; and I confirm that mixed feeling right at my first visit. The staff are very professionally dressed with uniforms, which is something I appreciate from a well managed establishment. We visited the Saltlik during the Big Taste Event in Calgary. We sure picked the right restaurant! The food was superb, great choices and everything tasted delicious! The desserts were both unbelievable! Our service was also excellent, very attentive. We will definitely come back!
I had to find a place for a date night with my girlfriend. I had read a few reviews of this place and it seemed pretty mixed BUT i can't understand why. Had dry ribs for an appetizer which were delicious...maybe best I'v e ever had. Girlfriend who is not really a meatitarian also loved them. The streak i had was cooked perfectly, flavored deliciously and best of all was only $25. I was surprised I could get a steak this good for the price i paid in downtown Calgary.
