I was reccommended Saltlik for one of the best BBQ Ribs in Calgary, so I took my family for a BBQ Rib supper a Sunday afternoon. The Ribs were good, but not great, they and the fries were not very warm, more lukewarm. My wife orderer a glass of red wine and it was bad tempered, much to warm. My kids were given a second round of pops without beeeing asked, we took it for granted it was free refill, but we were charged for it. Nice and friendly waiters though.
Fantastic food, great service, great location - what more can I say .... We intend to go back very soon .... Great room to rent for private occasions ...
All was outstanding except the petite filet. It was not thick enough. Hence, cooking it med rare was a challenge. Filets in a rest are supposed to have some thickness.
We had a wonderful experience when we took our visiting friends out. The atmosphere was awsome, the food was great, the service was outstanding.
the food is fine but nothing out of the ordinary. the wine list is OK. it simply isn't worth the price tag though, for the moderately good steak. better to spend an extra $10 per steak and move up to one of the primo steak houses downtown.
Having come to this restaurant in the past I was again pleased wiht the friendly, welcoming and service oriented staff. I must say I was let down by the food this time. The steak was just that, a steak, nothing special nowhere close to a WOW. For a steak specialty restaurant I would expect a WOW - at $30+ I have that expectation. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the meat was excellent. One of the best I've had in Calgary.
The server had just 4 tables and all the other staff were coving for her. I ordered med rare steak, it came rare and I was never given the chance to get this corrected.
The food was good but the service was just ok. I did expect better service and attention. Thanks!
