Sam Ash Hollywood is my favorite store because of Sal Esquire, their luthier. Sal is a highly skilled luthier and a really nice guy, always eager to help, who knows what he is doing.

MJ at the Hollywood Sunset location was awesome! I saw a Gibson ES 335 that just spoke to me. It was a big ticket purchase so as much as I wanted it I really had to stop and think. I came in a sent her up the ladder for it several different times. She was extremely patient, helpful and while she did encourage me to think about picking it up each time, it was never in a way that made me feel pressured or uncomfortable. When I finally made my decision I wanted ensure she was there when I made the purchase as she’d really done a good job I felt. They also have me what I thought was a fair price for a Martin travel size guitar I’d had few years but didn’t play much because my current position no longer required travel. Really happy with the guitar and amp I picked out.
