Overall it was a very good experience dealing with Sam Ash. The guitar guy was quite pleasant and helpful. The guitar I purchased was priced reasonably and I was given a fair amount for a trade-in. The only complaint here is that there was no box, no factory paperwork that typically comes with a new Gretsch. I later placed an internet order for store pickup. 3 items, all of which were listed in-stock at my location. The order was put together quickly, but one of the items was unavailable. I came to Sam Ash after a dismal experience at Guitar Center... All the guitars I wanted to try out at GC were under lock and key; assistance was sparse to non-existent; I was handed over to another staffer after finally locating someone who was about to leave for lunch; she disappeared, and I couldn't/wouldn't go in search of a floor salesperson yet again.
