They are heavily using scented oils that are on outlets in the downstairs to cover up smells. Quality of care honestly I don't know. it looks well taken care of and the units were very clean- the food is something that I really don't know about. Never tried the meals and dining service. We went during the holidays so they had plenty of activities. The value for the money was there and the admin staff were lovely. Entering the grounds: clean, well manicured, and inviting. Walking iin : warm, greeted immediately with a smile and a young lady eager to assist!. The place was nicely decorated and felt very home like. The manager was quick to greet us and explain the tour and answered any questions The rooms were nice and clean. The dining area was the same. After touring [name removed] again answered questions and explained, clearly the next steps . What a great experience!!

The setting is in downtown San Leandro so city living is an adjustment, including dealing with homeless population. But actual apartment although small is within building that is kept clean. But the upside is availability the broad choices of dining options as well as other stores like Safeway, Walmart, CVS pharmacies ,Post office, banks and service providers including dry cleaners to beauty shops and even nearby Kaiser Hospital and car dealerships. I work quite a bit. I'm very rarely here. However, so far it's been pretty good. Some of the repair work .And the times that they do the repairing is somewhat questionable. But overall, I would give it a three

My brother has moved into their independent living. Assisted living would be out of our reach. So far the staff and facility are lovely. The neighborhood where it's located is outstanding. Almost everything he needs within walking distance or a short ride on public transportation.
