My mom has been at this facility for almost 2 years. She is verry quiet and not very social, but the staff have made great efforts to include her in activities and have her socialize which has been good for her mental health. She has had too many unwitnessed falls and the staff have gone to great lengths to figure out how to avoid them. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the other residents seem genuinely happy to be at the facility. Any requests I have made were taken care of in a timely manner. I’m very happy that my children found San Leandro Senior Living. After my husband passed in[Date Removed], I was living alone in San Francisco, and none of my children lived in the City. When I was hospitalized in [Date Removed], it was apparent that I could no longer live and care for my self. My children searched the Bay Area for suitable and affordable housing for me. Very helpful in what you need or questions. Small one bedroom apartment. kitchenet and living area same room. Microwave,two burner stove top. No stove. Full frig. Cabinet space limited. 2 Closets are fine. Overall fits me fine.

They are heavily using scented oils that are on outlets in the downstairs to cover up smells. Quality of care honestly I don't know. it looks well taken care of and the units were very clean- the food is something that I really don't know about. Never tried the meals and dining service. We went during the holidays so they had plenty of activities. The value for the money was there and the admin staff were lovely. We do use two scented diffusers in the main entrance and common areas to make the community feel more welcoming by using scent to help promote calm and reduce anxiety. We also use spray in emergency situations. We understand that your loved one requires more care than we can provide, and we wish you the best of luck in your search.
Entering the grounds: clean, well manicured, and inviting. Walking iin : warm, greeted immediately with a smile and a young lady eager to assist!. The place was nicely decorated and felt very home like. The manager was quick to greet us and explain the tour and answered any questions The rooms were nice and clean. The dining area was the same. After touring [name removed] again answered questions and explained, clearly the next steps . What a great experience!!
