Despite a mix up about the day of the scheduled tour, I was well looked after and had a chance to see the facility. All my questions were answered.
We would rate it a definite 4. There were a couple issues/concerns and most have been addressed and resolved. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families. Serenades has a comforting atmosphere and caring staff. It has been a great experience for our family to have our father there and know he is well taken care of.
We found a home for mom. Staff was very knowledgeable and feel comfortable having mom be a resident.
Serenades is very clean and I like that it is strictly memory care. My tour was led my [name removed] who was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
Nice facility that seems to offer everything important including caring staff and a safe warm environment for their residents. I think the grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere friendly, and inviting. Having all amenities available such as doctors, barbers, exercise equipment and activities, plus a welcoming atmosphere for dining and socializing make this a really nice place for a loved one to consider.
I did a half dozen tours. They seemed to be properly staffed. The rooms seemed clean. There were no bad smells as we walked through the facility. The facility had a "home like" feel...quaint, not sterile. The price was also important. I would recommend them. My overall experience was very positive. I'm not naïve to the costs of running these places and how they can save money with med techs. Personnel issues are going to always be a problem. Overall it was great experience, my mom made friends and the staff made her feel at home. She went to the daycare a few days a week then stayed for a respite stay of 10 days. I think they could have more activities but it is more like a boutique size which is nice as I feel they get more specialized care. It was at the top of my budget and I had to leave her in respite two days longer than planned as there was a virus going around. We had had a good experience with memory care at Serenades at The Villages. Overall I am very pleased with the treatment of my wife and the care she has been given there.
Good facility, friendly staff, good housekeeping, and good communication. They did not provide the cognitive therapy that we were expecting. The meals were average. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
