Update: I changed my review because they did NOT have great care. Turns out they skipped a ton of stuff, they got me out the door quickly without follow ups, and they were negligent in taking the correct steps for my dog's care. Never again.
I wrote a review last week, and I just wanted to give a little update. I believe that Value pet clinic is probably fine for a quick check up, shot, or maybe even a spay or neuter. But, if you have an animal with something more serious, please look elsewhere I took my cat to and from for three days, saw three different vets who told me a million different things.I still don't know what was wrong with her, and it's very scary I also blame myself, I should have realized after the second day that there was a problem. So, my best... read more
If I could give them 0 stars I would. I volunteer at a local rescue shelter and brought a cat to them who had been mauled by a dog. I was informed that I would have to pay extra for an emergency visit, under the circumstances I agreed. I was called back after about 15 minutes and told that it was a superficial wound that needed to be sutured. I was given a quote of $600. They were in no hurry to treat the animal however still wanting to charge the emergency fee. Feeling very uncomfortable I chose to leave and take the cat t... read more
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I took my cat here for a lump on his neck. Value Pet Clinic said it was a cyst that needed SURGERY for $500-$600 !!! But I got a second opinion at VCA in Lynnwood that said it was a non-cancerous cyst that only needed to be drained every once in a while and it only cost $45 ! I will never go here again. I will warn all my family and friends. This place is NOT cheaper. They may claim to be cheaper based on price, but where they get you is by claiming your pets need procedures that THEY DO NOT NEED and s... read more
I went today a little after 9 am after calling and asking if I could bring my dog in. I got there and was brought in right away to a room and had my dog weighed and temp, then was told there would be a little wait cause there was two people ahead of me. So I waited in the HOT exam room for over an hour and then was told by the receptionist, when I asked how much longer she said another 15 or so minutes. I asked why wasn't told to begin with that I would have such a long wait? She said oh sorry. So I waited a couple more minu... read more
I went to clinic with cat at 11 AM on a Saturday. Only waited about 3 minutes in large, spacious, bright waiting area - cool! Was then brought to exam room. Assistant took weight. Then left to wait. And wait. And wait. After 70 minutes in a tiny, 8x8 (?) exam room and no word from anyone, I left. Please, Pet Clinic, 1) let people know what is going on 2) don't make people over an hour in little jail-cell room when there is gigantic waiting room outside and 3) hire another Vet. In addition, I have not seen that fees here are... read more
We would not use this clinic again. There is no value in Value Pet Clinic. We took our cat to the clinic as he was limping badly the day after July 4th festivities. They examined him and came up with a treatment plan (they are big on treatment plans and you get a new one every time you go back). We were sent home with some pain meds and agreed to treat him for 3 days to see if the limp went away. If not, we were to come back in and get X-rayed to determine if the cat had soft tissue damage suggesting continued treatment by ... read more
Word to the wise ~ In my experience, it seems that this clinic operates in such a way as to maximize their profits. That is their bottom line, at your expense. Bring your pet here if you've got a fat wallet. I realized that my dog and cat had fleas and was treating that with Frontline, vacuuming, all the things one does. Then was shocked to when my friend walked my dog and noticed he had worms. I immediately called the Value Pet Clinic and the person who answered was very friendly. When I told her I am low income, she to... read more
This place is ... interesting. You would think they'd do everything possible to help save you money but that might not necessarily be the case. We registered online, brought our cat in for the free exam, and my husband ended up waiting in an empty waiting room for 30 minutes before the exam and 30 minutes after the exam. The exam took 10 minutes. We asked them about the cat's teeth and they said he had severe gingivitis and probably needed to lose between 2 and 8 teeth, for something between $650-890. We wanted a second op... read more
