4 stars is specifically for the way the landscaping/yard was left. Both Patti (Sales Agent) and Cory (Builder) were great to work with and we believe they did everything they could to help along the way. We are saddened that Smith Douglas didn’t spend a little bit more money to take back the yard and put in a retaining wall so that we could have a decent yard to enjoy. Using my previous experience with a new build, this process was frustrating.
They did their job.
The quality of Smith Douglas Homes are superb! My home inspector couldn't stop raving about it. He was highly impressed. He noted that even new homes have issues that need to be addressed, but not with my newly built home. There were only 3-4 minor issues that needed to be fixed. There was a small spot on the carpet and the project manager quickly got the carpet replaced without batting an eye.
Very pleased with the construction manager, I believe his name was Mike, and with Nick. Great communication and quick to assist when it is needed, would definitely work with them again in the future and recommend others to.
