We had our wedding reception at the Las Vegas restaurant, which was amazing, none of our guests could finish their meals as portions were so big & the food was out of this world. So we just had to try the restaurant in London. This did not disappoint us, the staff were very friendly and attentive, gave us plenty of time to make our choices. Nothing was to much trouble. I’d been waiting to go to Smith and Wollensky for a while and the food did not disappoint! We both had the rib eye and it was cooked to perfection. Initially we had wanted to get the 1kg tomahawk but upon ordering were told it would take an hour for it to be cooked medium, we did not have an hour to spare, therefore changed to the rib eye. Great value and great food in an authentically old school New York-style setting. We had the steak sandwich, club sandwich and Butcher Burger for lunch which were all delicious (and huge) but just about left room for dessert which was also yummy. Great old-style service too. Friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely visit again.
We booked this last minute and arrived for a late dinner. The food was incredible and just as good as its NYC sister restaurant.
Nice restaurant, food was quite simple but lovely and the surroundings were elegant. Prices were quite high for the type of dishes provided, but that did not stop them being enjoyable.

Came to Smith & Wollensky for a pre-theatre meal. Very loud place, but that can be atmospheric. We enjoyed our meal and the desserts were excellent. Only criticism was the burger I had was rare. I'd asked for medium. I like my steaks rare, but burgers I always think are safer cooked for a bit longer. Mentioned it to the waitress who reassured me, but nonetheless It wasn't cooked to specification. All in all, we enjoyed our time at S&W.
