Good Experience in Cross-Country Move I hired SML - Simple Moving Labor to move me from Kansas City to Milwaukee. SML did a good job moving my belongings from my garage area to the truck I had rented. At the destination, they helped get everything from my storage unit into my new home. Everything went really well. There was good communication all around. Using SML - Simple Moving Labor saved a lot of time for us. I would definitely use them again if needed.
Great Experience It was our first time using SML. We used SML on both ends of our son’s move. We were moving a one bedroom apartment so we only needed 2 movers on the front end with the loading of the truck and the 2 movers on the backend with unloading. All the men were quality people and did a great job handling our son’s belongings. Can’t say enough about the service. Happily relocated to Memphis.
Multi city move in the winter, oh it was cold This was a muti city move, from Denver had to stop in Cincinnati, and then on to Tampa, SML provided a three person crew at each location. They were on time, clean looking, spoke English, and did all the work in the 2 hours at each location. The weather was bad, 15 degrees at both Denver and Cincinnati. No one complained, and nothing got broken. For the money, SML is the best kept secret in the business.
Fantastic! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who is moving! These two guys just worked their little butts off! They were great! I could not have been happier with SML - Simple Moving Labor! My daughter was moving from North Carolina to Arizona and she was only half packed when they showed up. I was there, along with my brother, to help. Do Not Hire!!! I would rate them zero stars but it was not an option.
Do Not Hire Because they damaged several of my items during packing even though I had many packing blankets, didn’t even use them all. Then they damaged the exterior of my house. Apparently, your movers don’t have any integrity to notify the home owner of their “accident”. Then I was told that I only had coverage for my items, not my house. Didn’t realize that the movers were so incompetent. Then dickering that I didn’t report the damages in a timely manner so I may be out of luck on getting anything paid for. Not recommend SML was not only an hour late but knowing to were going to be going on a military base they forgot there Insurance paperwork and so we had to give them a ride and check them in. While they were getting checked in they started there time so we actual on have them for about an hour and fifteen minutes or so. SML hire workers that do not know what they are doing. Help was 5.25 hours late. Team a bit clumsy and did not always follow directions. There was a confusion over the date requested, this caused no one to show up on time and had to call to correct. By the time help arrived, they were 5.25 hours late. This means many daylight hours were wasted and it rippled into what my son and I could accomplish that day. I had to take 6 hours of vacation time on Monday to finish up what should had been done on Sunday.
Seriously horrible experience! I had two different crews from SML - Simple Moving Labor, one that did the packing up, and another that did the unloading. I just had surgery so I couldn't do any of the packing and paid them to do it all. In the process, they completely scuffed up my furniture. They also bumped into everything they could when they were unloading, breaking even more wood. It took a lot of self-control not to lose my temper. When they left, they knew I wasn't happy.
