My father has been at Somerset House Care & Nursing Home for several months, and the care has been great. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring, always going the extra mile to make him comfortable and keep us informed. The home is warm, clean, and welcoming, even though there are on going improvements, with engaging activities that help residents stay active and happy. The staff at Somerset are a caring, kind and an attentive top down team. They are friendly, open and welcoming each time I visit. They are interested in each of the residents and ask great questions to find the best ways of supporting people.... they even made welsh cakes for my mother on discovering she was welsh and liked them... huge thank you for that. We would like to say how great full we are for the care and support all the staff provide at Somerset Nursing Care home for our 98 yr old Mum/Gran. She is happy, she always looks lovely when we visit, The food always looks lovely, the staff provide a wide range of activities for the residents. The staff always welcome us and make us feel relaxed. The staff are also very professional towards both the residents and visitors. It's always a pleasure to visit Mum at this nursing home.

Mum became a resident in November 2024. The process from viewing the care home to moving and settling in was smooth and everyone we dealt with was helpful and professional. Mum has settled well and loves the home from home setting. The staff are all amazing can't do enough very caring and in tune with mums needs. Food fantastic and there is always something going on to entertain the residents and their visitors if they want to join in. We are so happy we chose Somerset House. My mother, who will shortly celebrate her 96th birthday, receives all-round excellent care at Somerset House. She is especially fond of the many activities and external visits provided by the staff at the home.

Whenever we visit the staff are very pleasant and helpful, always offering us drinks. The home is always clean and the bedrooms are very clean, tidy and have beautiful furniture. The lady I go and visit is 93 and is very well looked after and is very happy in Somerset House.

My brother-in-law has been a resident of Somerset House for 18 months. I have been impressed with the management and staff who are friendly but also professional. The housekeeping is good and the food is appreciated by my brother-in-law. His clothes are laundered daily. Whilst he was very independent and reluctant to leave his house he appreciates the quality of care he receives. My wife is kept fully informed by the care home staff.

The staff at Somerset House provide a consistent, very caring and attentive quality to the home. One of it's many strengths is that there is not a high turnover of personnel and the home does not use bank staff, this ensures that care is personalised and faces are familiar which is so important, both to residents and relatives.
