The weight loss part of the program was great. The products work and I was able to meet and pass my weight goal. The counselors were there to answer questions and provide some suggestions along the way. The maintenance part has not been as supportive. I have gained back half of the weight I have lost. Most information is very general and not specific for my individual problem. The counselors do check in each month and have even offered to check in every two weeks. I am just not able to maintain without the structure of the p... read more

It’s too expensive and feel like they need to give more information on cost, etc before charging for the initial appointment. Seems very shady. The nutritional advisor seemed to have a talk page for what she was saying. Too bad. I heard great things but seems like all out for money

Business response:

Hello Angela, Yes the program is too expensive for some but none of our clients feel the cost is not well worth the value. Your initial appointment with SOTA would typically be a call-in by you to make an appointment. The person answering the phones is not a nutritionist, she makes appointments and manages scheduling. The cost of care is different for every person and is predicated upon a number of factors such as gender, age, health condition, medications, alcohol use, disabilities, size of fat mass, and number of weeks n... read more

Would have loved to join this program. However, $6K is pretty steep for a weight loss program

Business response:

Hi Becky, yes I would say everything seems too expensive nowadays. We all spend money on lots of things, from vehicles to vacations, for this and for that. But I can tell you that the most important thing we can spend money on is our health. Fat weight is the number one cause of a myriad of serious health conditions, from heart attack, stroke, type 2 diabetes, hormone imbalance, endorphin disruption, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, various forms of cancer, plus... SOTA is the number one weight loss pr... read more

I paid $25 for a sales call. She couldn’t really explain why SOTA was better or different than other plans. I described what I had done and she rather than try to understand just confronted and belittled me

I feel I would do great on this program however it is just way too expensive. I chose ideal protein as food is similar and affordable. $39 a day for what?

There was no pricing on the website, which should have sent me running, but my husband really wants to lose weight. Instead, we lost $25 to find out it would cost me 4 months salary to lose a few pounds. There are other programs that use similar methods for way less money. No wonder it’s the weight loss program of the Dallas Cowboys- you have to be a professional athlete to afford this! So disappointed.

I did not think the price matched the level of support. The program works but there needs to be more support for the amount paid. More recipe discussions, more text or phone check ins etc.

There could be a lot more resources on your website. 1. Recipes 2. More ideas for Sota products 3. Travel resources - coach told me yesterday eating out for lunch required full fat salad dressing if I’m eating out, etc Not all information given is the same across dieticians

I chose SOTA because it has been advertised as a personalized program. Gabriella was knowledgeable when I initially spoke with her. On Jan.4th, I had a good conversation with Jessica and explained that we don’t eat red meat. We do eat poultry and fish. I received a box of food items on Jan 5th. When I did the inventory there was chicken and beef bouillion. No big deal, I thought. I was a little concerned when I looked at the meal plan which suggested 2 eggs and bacon as an alternative for breakfast. No big deal, I thought. I... read more
