Two times the technicians have driven into my wet lawn leaving deep ruts . I called many times and asked them to fix it and was ignored. No return call. After the technician left I noticed a "no parking" sign I had there was broken off At the ground level. They seem to hire anyone with a pulse and zero common sense. Terrible company !
We used this company to remove a large wasp nest from the backside of our house. Yes, they removed the nest and we are thankful for that. However we were surprised and disappointed by the mess they left behind. There were remains of the nest at the point it was attached, pesticide residue on our garage door, and dead wasps and nest remnants on the ground. Worst experience ever. I called to get a single service. They tried to get me signed up for a full service treatment. There are notes in the system saying I said no to the full treatment because I talked to the customer service rep and she confirmed. They sent me paper work and I signed it. Unfortunately for me I signed it and didn't see they still charged me for the full service. When I called to complain the nice agent said she saw the notes and was mad this happens to me. We've used Surety before they became Orkin and after. We were pleased with their service for years. Moved away and came back after they became Orkin. We heard bad reviews after the change but wanted to give them a chance as they were always good to us. This last year of service has not been the quality it once was. They don't come when our service is due (every other month) then try to make up for it and come multiple times in a month. It's always someone new, they can't seem to keep employees. I have contracted with Surety since 2006. Service was always good, with techs who are fine people. Then Orkin bought Surety and it's been all down hill since. Formerly I could call them directly and always spoke with someone immediately. I called the other day about rodents in the attic. Now a call center answers the calls, not the local office. So disappointing.. we have used Surety in the past and been very happy. This past year, not at all the same experience. We had agreed to a weekly plan to take care of rodents. Traps were set and then... crickets. No weekly checks were happening. They billed us and we called multiple times to try to find out what was going on. No response. We signed up for an annual contract at $50 a month. Have watched on our home cameras the reps come out and do a completely half-assed job. Next thing I know I get a bill for $85 a month. Thinking this is a mistake, I call Surety. SUPER rude and defensive customer rep explains they are having a staffing shortage and have had to cut down their service dates to HALF what they used to - so then I'm thinking - I'm paying for half the service but you've increased the price by 70%??!! I reactivated an my old yelp account just to write this review. So others wouldn't go through what I did. Surety no longer has any modern billing system - you have to pay by check via snail mail - changed all of a sudden in 2021. So, I apparently didn't pay June. Never knew, kept paying the months after. They never told me I still owed for June. Then sent me to collections. When I called them they apologized stating they sent me to collections by accident. We have been a Surety customer since 2015, getting their monthly service. Things were fine until recently, which happens to correspond to about the time frame when they were taken over by Orkin. The last time they came to our home was June 24, over 3 months ago. I called to ask why and when we could expect them. I was told that apparently the computer had scheduled us for service on Sunday's but they do not work Sundays, and that was why no one had come.
