Get directionsI was very nervous about using the respite facility for my mother who has Dementia. I visited the home previous to mums visit and was shown around by the Manager who patiently answered all my questions and dealt with my doubts. The home was clean, tidy and appeared calm and had a welcoming feel. I was shown the actual room that mum would be staying in, which for me was re-assuring. On collecting my mum, she looked clean and tidy and was sitting in the lounge having a chat with some of the other residents (I had expected her ... read more
My mother was resident in Swanholme in January 2017 until she died on the 16th of February. This followed a spell on the nursing wing at Eccleshare Court Care Home in Lincoln after her discharge from hospital. In Swanholme - the level of care, consideration and overall attention was on the whole delivered to a high standard. As she moved to an end of life stage, the care shown was excellent and at this difficult time, the staff worked hard to help my mother, ensuring she was comfortable and pain-free as far as this was possi... read more
Good as care homes can be having not experienced many.
Care is excellent, albeit they are well overworked but always have time to help and advise. My mum left yesterday after her second visit there and she was very happy and the staff are always helpful and made sure mum was safe. If she is unable to live on her own, I very much wish her to go back to Swanholme Court. You do need another rotunda as it was needed on both floors and is a very heavy piece of equipment. Food excellent too.
Having been in hospital due to concussion and confusion after many falls of which I have a history of, my wife needed respite from caring for me and Eccleshare Court Care Home was chosen for my stay for 3 weeks. I was very well looked after and all the staff are friendly and caring. Regular on-time prescriptions of which I have many were dispensed and a GP from my practice was called out promptly when one of my abrasions/cuts was noticed to have become infected. The food was good. With my stay, I chose mainly to stay in my r... read more
I have been a volunteer for more years than I care to remember. Basically, helping with communion twice monthly and each week placing fresh flowers in the entrance. I am delighted to see improvements, such as decorating and crockery (gone, hopefully, thick heavy mugs). Change of name - great - again an individual building, upstairs office no longer a hide-away. Again for the use of residents, as it should be.
My elderly Father who suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia fell at home in early September of 2016 and after a brief stay in the hospital, he was admitted to Eccleshare Court Care home. A home environment was not something he was familiar with but the staff worked diligently to make him comfortable and feel part of the community. Dad passed away in early December and the care that he received during his last days was exceptional. Every member of staff showed Dad and his family respect and compassion, constantly thinking of ... read more
Staff are all superb. My husband went into Eccleshare Care Home for respite and emergency care as I had a mishap!
My husband was in Swanholme for respite care for three weeks. He usually goes for respite at Swanholmes excellent sister home over 40 miles away and where we live, but they were unable to take him, and suggested Swanholme. I was distressed by the appalling level of care he received, he spent most of the time in a bed with the sides up, something he never needed, even in hospital, he had meals in bed. He had no opportunity to take any part in activities and was grubby, with food around his mouth and his jumper two hours after... read more
