As much as I don't like posting personal info it is endometriosis month and a disease my daughter suffers with. She is in the hospital now and ended up with complications and a 2nd emergency surgery. It's been a tough week. Dr Seckin, a leading endo specialist and her doctor is a special, caring person who I am forever grateful for. I can't ever thank you enough for your care of her.
Dr. Seckin is an amazing physician. I had excision surgery by Dr. Seckin on 2/17. Because my case was so complex, I had multiple services on my case. Every physician on his team was amazing. They all work so seamlessly together. I was admitted to Lenox Hill Hospital for 7 days. The care I received was phenomenal. From the physicians, residents, nursing staff, and ancillary staff. Today marks one month since my surgery and every day I feel a new difference! I went through my first cycle few weeks after surgery and it was a lot more tolerable than before. I didn't have any nausea, extremely little bloating, and no constipation. I've had terrible period cramps since I was 12 and yes I was told that it is normal. Nausea was something I dealt with everyday, fatigue on a daily basis, and constipation. My pain was so painful I would faint or throw up. Dr. Seckin is a miracle worker. There may not be a "cure" for endometriosis, but there is hope with the right care and surgical treatment. After 21 years of unbelievable pain I am now a new woman. I only wish there were more doctors like Seckin. �
I just want to thank Dr.Seckin and Dr.Ansari and all of the surgical staff at Lenox Hill Hospital for what they have done to my wife. After several visits to several hospitals and doctors all around over the last year all doctors have told my wife she was ok and that there is just some cysts that popped that's what her pain was. I just had my final post op appt with Dr seckin. I met him and his nurses and staff back in march. Before I met them I felt completely hopeless and thought I would live in pain and agony my whole life. When I found out that he is out of network and that I dont have any out of network benefits I completely wanted to give up. I called up and talked to Kim. Yesterday my daughter and I sat in Dr. Seckin's office for the last visit after the operation three weeks ago. We listened to yet another women's story on how she struggled for 20 years and now she has been pain free for two years. You learn a lot sitting there.
