An interesting "comfort food" menu is marred by poor and inattentive service. We went to Ted's for dinner before going to the movies in nearby Rio. Despite having reservations and there being several available tables we had to wait for our table. Two of us ordered the excellent chicken noodle (tasty and chock full of chicken) as an appetizer. Never make reservations online and special requests on line
I was meeting my mother and we had a horrible experience. I was running 10 minutes late so when my mom got to the restaurant they would not seat her. When I arrived I was informed that no one was there for my party of 2. The hostess staff at Friday lunch are inadequate. We never ate as my mother left and I left hour an hour later. I have no desire to go back. Incompetence at its finest!!!
Fried chicken was the worst I ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the DC area. Have not been there in approximately six months and was very surprised and disappointed. What has happened? New owners? The food was mediocre at best. Nothing was great. My pot roast dinner was over cooked. The meat was blackened. Ok ‘they cook it for 16 hours’, but it lost it’s flavor as if they made it two days ago. High priced diner, not greatest service
Took over an hour to get food. Food was meh. 😔
Singularly unimpressive - nearly empty and service still inattentive and haphazard. Okay food and expensive drinks.
