High priced diner, not greatest service
Took over an hour to get food. Food was meh. 😔
Singularly unimpressive - nearly empty and service still inattentive and haphazard. Okay food and expensive drinks.
Service was polite and courteous, but food was from good. The oatmeal was really thick and lukewarm and the side of milk was served cold - how can anyone have cold oatmeal. My egg white/veggie omelette was overcooked and swimming in oil. When they remade it, it was completely raw and inedible! Server was nice enough to remove it from the bill, but that also means I left hungry!
I met a friend that I hadn't seen in 3 years for happy hour and catching up. We were very disappointed to discover that despite there being several restaurant/bars next door, across the street and within walking distance that offered happy hour specials, Ted's did not. Although it was a gorgeous Friday evening after work, the restaurant was not very full at all - the bar was dead and I think we may have figured out the reason. We decided not to eat or drink, left and patronized an establishment that caters to the happy hour ... read more
Ted's was dead on the Thursday night we visited (not one single person at the bar), while the three restaurants which surround it were bustling. That should have told us something. I ordered the nightly special - fried chicken. The exterior was satisfying crunchy, but the flavor paled in comparison to Hershey's in Gaithersburg (or even Popeye's) and the meat was dry. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box, although I suspect they were not. My husband had the chicken parmesan, which was fine but not worth the tr... read more
Wish we had heeded some of the reviews previously posted. We encountered not only negligent, but out right hostile service. One order never served until the rest of the table was finished, waitress disappeared and then we we asked her for help, got nasty. 2 other servers came to help(?) but also did not complete the request (ie more water). Food was lackluster, but honestly this was one of our worst dining exoeriences ever.
We have gone several times to the teds bulletin in U street station and we really liked. Crown center disappointed but followed the rumors we had heard to a tee. Very poor service. Slow to get food. Appetizers not put in so we had to cancel the order. Waitress never came back to ask about dessert. Disaster. Despite a great kid friendly menu, we would not go back.
Food portions were small for the price. Desert cake lacked moisture the icing was not smooth
