I've been a residence of the Brockman Lofts for a little over six months, i must say i was a little hesitant to live in DTLA, i took the plunged and signed a lease and i have to say its the best place I've ever lived in LA and I've been here 30 years. The Loft is beautiful large windows, open space, huge bathroom with separate shower, wood floors, exposed ceilings, nice appliances, double pane windows. Lived here 4 years and sad to go! The management staff and residents really made my time here home. Pros: Super convenient and walkabale neighborhood. I work from home & run a small business and EVERYTHING I needed was within a 5 block walk or less: Whole Foods, target, Ralph's, Sephora, FedEx, usps, dentist, doctors, TONS of Dining options, bars, spas, rooftops... downtown is really one of the very few walkabale neighborhoods in LA and the location of the building is peak. Update to Feb 2022 review The current management team has totally settled in they are exceptional! I had some health issues in 2022 and they were so supportive and helpful I dont have family here and I could not have survived without them-FOR real. They treat me and my furry friend like family. Great place to live . Never had any majority issues! Mike is awesome. Always willing to take care of an issues that I might have . Location is legendary. Prefect location . Not around the ruff raft . Area is very clean.

I worked in hospitality for years and the customer service here rivals even some of the nicest hotels I managed! Everyone on property knows your name and goes out of their way to help you, the grounds are spotless, and the lofts themselves are beautiful! Terence has been helping me since my first tour of the property and has been an incredible help. You can really tell he is passionate about his position and has gone above and beyond to help us settle into our new home!

My wife and I have lived here since 2016, and man, our apartment is beautiful. We pay for it (our rent is over $4k/month), but we love the large windows, high ceilings, and brick walls at the Brockman. The walls and floors/ceilings are thick concrete, so we can play music and watch movies without bothering our neighbors. Honestly, the building sells itself. The Brockman, as a building, is gorgeous. I've lived in few neighborhoods around LA since 2005, and never considered living downtown until work brought me just a few blocks away from The Brockman. Like most major cities I've resided in - from San Francisco, Chicago and New York, I knew living downtown would come with the package of city noise, traffic, and reality of a homeless population. I have been at the Brockman for almost 4 months now and have had an excellent experience. As with any old building, there were a few things that needed maintenance upon move in, and the maintenance team were incredibly prompt to come and fix the issues. My loft is incredibly quiet, rarely hearing any of my neighbors. The on-site gym is adequate to get a good workout, but nothing amazing.
