About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. I grew up in what was known as the Transvaal province of South Africa, they called it the land of the Xhosas, one of the major ethnic tribes in this part of Africa. From the moment I entered this restaurant, I felt welcomed. The hostesses are very cordial. We received it quickly well we had a reservation. There were three of us 1 ordered the I think red fish and two of us had the lamb chops. There were five lamb chops more than I've ever eaten anywhere. They were very well seasoned and very flavorful. I’m in town visiting my daughter who lives here. I also have girlfriend who lives here and took me here. What a treat! The ambiance, service and food was great! I had the lobster ravioli and my girlfriend ordered the lollipop lamb chops. Delicious! We shared the ceviche, and garlic naan. Excellent! And even the water was divine!!!

This place scores high on almost every metric I could think of. The food was amazing, balanced and unique. Loved the sautéed calamari. It was rich and flavorful, and not too salty or carb heavy. The salmon was soft, tender, seasoned and had a very good flavor with the bacon crisps and arugula. The drinks were also amazing. There was nothing left on the plates! We ate everything they gave us. No leftovers. The desert was top notch. Seriously a great fusion experience with good quality food. Would definitely come again.

Nice atmosphere. Awesome vegetarian options. Got the Durban Tofu & wow! I’m still thinking about how good it was. Sure, it was a little on the expensive side, but they don’t skimp on the portion sizes.
