Scam and fruad! I went in and explicitly asked for a month to month membership, not 1 or 2 years. Month to month since my stay here is temporary. They kept trying to upsell me every other word and kept pushing me to get the more expensive memberships, I said no and asked for month to month. When I went in to cancel my membership they informed me that I had been fraudulently signed up for a 24 month contract, I'm not even going to be in the area that long, why would I sign up for that? I AM ABSOLUTELY LIVID. The general manager at the ******* **location is an absolute FRAUDSTER. First, he tells me that he cancels my personal training membership because after my free personal trainings it didn’t work out due to my inconsistent schedule and financial struggles. My wife and I have been members of Edge Fitness for a few years and slowly stopped going. We signed up at the same time and had associated accounts. When it came time to cancel there was no option to cancel online. When I went into the center to cancel in person they only let me cancel my account and not my wife’s even though they could see they were associated. This club management team canceled my membership after I was harassed and threatened with physical violence. ?A man threatened to "push me the **** off" a machine because I was resting between sets. When I yelled for a trainer because I felt unsafe, the trainer stood by, did absolutely nothing to intervene, and then just walked away. Horrible place.never any gym equipment available. Everyone’s on top of each other. Overpriced and when you try to cancel your membership they don’t let you cancel and continue to bill you. NEVER EVER AGAIN. 0 stars. Despicable
Several days ago I called about my account charge and was told someone would call me back. They never did. So I called to cancel and they told me I had to email with a certain number. After emailing someone for help they told me I was charged $60 for a yearly enhancement fee. I absolutely positively was not verbally told about that fee at sign up. I cancelled my membership in March of 2020 when Covid hit. I emailed them and left them a voice message as their centers closed down. They say they never received my messages and continue to harass me for money they believe to be owed them. I moved out of stated and even told them this a second time that I cancelled this.
I don't even want to give this business one star. They rip you off by charging a monthly fee and an annual fee. I asked that they discontinue charging my cc for my daughters membership and they refused, saying she needed to come in and cancel. Once she did that a month later, they told her she needed to send an email to cancel. I threw up on the machine once and was forced to clean it because the cleaning lady wasn't available. Super gross. Summer was asking way too many personal questions. Please do yourself a favor and don't ask people where they work and live or expose your family secrets. I feel like I got violated around her. I'm done letting things slide at this disrespectful gym cause. She's a little unprofessional and too close for comfort, not to mention invasive. Don't know her at all, this is what I observed.
