Okay, I have now enjoyed Edge for a few weeks. They really go out of their way to please. In addition, downed equipment is promptly repaired. Considering the price, Edge is a great fitness value.

The music is wayyyyt too loud! Literally everyone has on their headphones so why do we need blasting music? You have to turn up your own personal headphones to drown out the bad music they play. It is annoying and when you tell the front deal they said the music is piped in and they cant change the volume and that management wants it very loud because management think it makes a fun and exciting environment. As a lifetime lifter and exercise individual, I didn't see any value. The staff have weak communication skills. The membership cancelellation is a hassle I don't need . My tour was a 2 The sales person should have been closing me at the start . She wasn't . I had to pull information from the employee. Not a good fit for me . They are selling more things I've ever seen at a exercise facility lol.

I joined Edge Fitness - Shrewsbury during their pre-enrollment period. Initially the gym was great; low fees, super clean, not overly crowded, etc. Over the 4 years since then, rates have increased by almost double, quality of the employees and level of customer service has declined, the locker room smells so bad I tuck my nose in my shirt to avoid gagging/puking, the cleaning wipes to wipe down equipment are empty 99% of the time, the gym is insanely overcrowded at all hours, people bring in tripods and bulky equipment to f... read more

Do NOT join this gym. My experience has been nothing but unprofessional, disorganized, and shady! 1 star is generous They mismanaged my personal training package, admitted the mistake, but instead of fixing it, they charged me for another month I never agreed to. Even after multiple emails, calls, and unanswered voicemails, they ignored me until I filed a BBB complaint. Your May payment was waived, all past due sessions were waived, and added a promo pack of sessions as an additional courtesy for the error. Your membership cancelation was processed properly. Terrible, I moved to Chicago and they are still charging me because my "proof of move" (new lease agreement) didn't contain the "full address." Bullshit! This place will just wring you out of your money with absolutely no qualms.

We were very excited to become founding members of what we thought was a revolutionary gym. Quarantine stroke and we had to wait an extra 1.5 years after signing up to enjoy the gym. Eager to get into the gym, we were hopeful to have the great experience we were promised. Unfortunately, many of the reasons we joined were not followed through after opening. Worst company ever. Do not buy a membership and expect to ever get out of it without paying tons. Took 3-4 months to finally get a cancellation approval.

Beautiful gym. Unfortunately, the music is so loud, assaulting, I couldnt wait to get out! I've been working in fitness clubs for 25 years, and enjoy a lively environment; but frankly, the volume was ridiculous. The man who gave me the tour said its even louder when its busy, and I had to lean over his desk to hear what he was saying. When he said that they have no control over the volume, that it is set and controlled by corporate, I said "no thanks". I can join one of the other gyms close by.
