The food was okay until I found a pretty decent sized bone in my grilled chicken sandwich! Worse, when I told the owner, he wasn’t too concerned at all. Ultimately, our server took my meal off our bill, though it seemed as though they thought I should be grateful for doing that? Bottom line ... very disappointing
We shared the Guacamole appetizer which was a winner. More than ample for two with good chips to scoop it up. Major disappointment were the beef hamburgers. We ordered them medium rare and they arrived well done and dry in overstuffed rolls. We've enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but this was a bad night.
Over priced salads that sound great but not really
Food quality has diminished greatly since the place opened. Used to be all freshly made. Ordered veggie burger which I expected would be a housemade patty with real vegetables. Patty was a commercial frozen patty made of “fake meat” deep fried. Patty was tasteless and rubbery. Coleslaw also was creamy but devoid of flavor. Shame on Happ Inn for believing that clients do not care. Menu is screaming for more vegetables and healthier options. Ugh.
Terrible experience
The owner and maître d’ was very rude upon arriving. He didn’t want to offer us his “highly sought out booths” because we did not specifically requested in a reservation. It wasn’t what he said it’s how he said it. This is not the first occasion this occurred and he was quite rude. Furthermore the service was fair it took 18 minutes for anyone to it knowledge on us and even pour ice water or to even ask us about our ordering. Overall I was hesitant to come here because of past experiences in this experience sealed the deal w... read more
First time here, just dropped by for lunch. Service was really good. Pulled pork was not super, way too smoky- ate 2 bites. The crispy chicken sandwich was cooked well but pretty plain. It was overpowered by the over-buttered bun. Fries were ok but tasted like plain frozen fries.
An ordinary menu
poor service, cold food, rude greeter..Asked to talk to Carlos said he was on vacation, understand why help was have fun.
