Went for Easter Brunch. Nice appetizer/dessert buffet, great food, but terrible service. Server came by to ask for our drinks, then to get our order, then as I sat with an empty glass and plate for 30 mins while picking at what was left of my garnish I finally flagged someone else down to ask for another drink. 15mins later it came out via a runner, and it took me searching around for her for the check after that. We have eaten at Happ Inn many times and always enjoyed both the food and the service. This was our first time for their Easter Brunch. It was far less than what we had expected and not at all worth the price. The waitress was inattentive and seemed out of it. We will go back for occasional dining as they are accommodating to people with celiac disease, however, we will look elsewhere for brunch.
Celebrating my sisters ' birthday today Informed restaurant before arrival. Server ignored us until it was time to pay the check. No birthday surprise & he never checked backed if we need anything .
Due to St Pats holiday, it was busy. Sadly the service was slow and food cold.
Good food but service was subpar. They were not very apologetic or helpful even when we spoke to manager. Really too bad
The server took the order- didn't come back to the table. Water or coffee wasn't refilled. I ordered Greek salad with chicken - it was served in a small dish, not the large entree salads as past. Not worth the price! They people who brought out the food didn't understand when they were told it wasn't prepared as ordered. Since the server never came back, we had to explain 4 times. Our waiter was good. The menu is boring and the food is tasteless.
I used to love this place. It was a go-to. A regular. But it is not what it used to be. The fish I had last night was bla. The pork I had a couple of weeks ago was bla. The steak I had 4-5 weeks ago was bla. I got fed a lukewarm beer. The appetizer was bla. It's not that it is bad, per se. It's just not good enough to command the big ticket price they charge or the demand for tables they have. It has slipped. Just one man's opinion.
