Terrible service. Was a bday and staff did nothing Service unbelievably slow
Live the food, but the service is traditionally average. This time it was just plain bad. They added a 20% tip for a party of 6. I checked the menu. It states they *MAY* add 20%. Who decides? Under what circumstances? We were not a difficult party of 6. A 20% gratuity was absolutely not deserved.
Very disappointing. Was really looking forward as I knew it was owned by Carlos. Service was so bad it made us laugh, didn't put a damper as we were catching up. Ordered the chicken vesuvio very salty and dry. The margarita was good and so was the guacamole. Just disappointing
Boring with very average food. First visit in maybe a year and there's no reason to go back.
I go to the Happ Inn often. I ordered a burger, however due to a medical issue can't have fries or fried food. I ordered asparagus and was fine paying for it as a side. I also ordered the Happ salad to split with my friend. Our server said perhaps that could be my side instead of the fries. Then when the bill came he said it would have had to have been a side salad to be a complimentary side. I said well then I lost my side I could have had coldslaw. Thought today was a total taking advantage of mother day by the happ inn. Ripoff. Was told it was a Buffet for 35 bucks each. In a way it was except you picked a main course. From corned beef hash to steak and eggs. The Buffet has salads quesadillas and bagels and lox stuff and various small desserts. Booze was not included. Not even one mimosa. Then they added a tip in. We have been to this restaurant often as we live in the neighborhood. Nice atmosphere but the food rarely lives up to expectations. I wanted a burger. It was premade and seemed to be just heated up. Not cooked to order. My friend had to send a salad back twice because it was not made to order. In the past they've been out of the special. Repeatedly disappointed
I've been to Happ Inn many times but if last night's experience had been the first time, I would never go back. The older man who took us to our table seemed more interested in pushing his gluten-free menu than welcoming us. Our waiter was great, but our wine waiter was sort of surly. My margarita pizza was 1/2 burnt on the bottom. They need to be more careful. I regret not sending it back , next time I will.
