This experience is related to trying to tour and lease a unit. Not on the building itself. I have been trying to tour both virtually and in person, given that the website indicated virtual tours. I denied a virtual tour and was instead offered pictures in lieu of a virtual tour. Sara, then only sent me images showing a partial unit. I requested, multiple times, for additional images of the remainder of the unit. She refused. I then reached out to Sara set up an in person tour or if I could just do a walk in. She said to g... read more

They pay to hide the REAL reviews. Look in the "Not Recommended" review area for the reviews of those of us that actually lived here. They are trying to bury them. I wrote a very long review here (under Kim L.) in 2020 that had a LOT of likes/recommends and was near the top of the reviews until a few months ago. Now it's buried on that page for absolutely no reason. I used to work for a tech company that dealt with Yelp and businesses actually cough up money to delete or hide reviews, it's sadly standard. Also, some of the ... read more

I made an appt to tour the apartment at 11:30. I rushed here and looking for parking in downtown to make this appointment and I've been waiting for 20 minutes and still haven't been seen. When I finally met the agent, he said the person I was emailing with didn't inform him and the apartment I was interested in was already taken the day before so I literally wasted 45 minutes and paid for parking for nothing

I'm shocked at how bad this place is. I literally have to hold on to pepper spray to come home. Meaning like from Uber to front door. The building has scaffolding that homeless people live in. I have no idea why it's called security building because you're not safe lol like I've seen so much. And just right by the door front and back. People shoot up, MASTURBATE, shit and pee right in front of it. You walk in swapping flies. It's actually crazy how much you have to pay to basically live with the homeless and watch them shoot... read more

This is the worst place too live on Spring St....avoid at all cost nobody wants too wake up and come outside there building too homeless ppl in front of your building. At night it's worse they are having parties in the front. They could easily hire security like the rest of the buildings do but they clearly don't give af. Got my car broken into in front of the building in broad day light....the leasing office we'll take weeks too get back to you.

I lived here for 11 months, no pest problems. However, I moved out in October and kept in contact with the leasing manager about my $500 deposit. I have yet to receive it and honestly this is a decent place its just how slow they are with giving you back your money but expect you to be on time every time. The price is expensive a f* and not including parking so have fun with that. My water was Black--black black-- for about month before in moved. I believe that's an "LA dirty water" problem but could also be the upkeep and m... read more

Our maintenance problem was not addressed in a timely or thorough manner, and was communicated poorly. At the hottest month of the year, we had no AC for six weeks (over 85 degrees in the apartment). We submitted almost weekly maintenance requests that got labeled as "completed" when the AC continued to not work. We personally emailed multiple managers/servicers asking for help, and were told we 1) didn't know how to reset the AC; 2) the problem was a building wide issue pending a shipped part for the cooling tower that wo... read more

If you happen to love getting stuck on elevators, Lofts at Security is the place for you! 3 years my girlfriend lived there and never more than a month or two without an elevator incident. Even better, if you do get stuck on an elevator and have to be removed from it by the fire department the management will take no responsibility whatsoever. It's fantastic! Oh but there's more!!! Since it's a rent controlled unit they will do literally ANYTHING to grab some extra money from you when you move out. Break ONE knob in two yea... read more

I've been living here for two years and it is not a good situation although I will say it has improved in the last couple months. We moved in because it was cheap, $2350 a month for a 2bd/2 bath in DTLA. So dealing with the street noise from single pane windows, the low quality appliances and kitchen cabinets, the ridiculously loud air conditioner that makes everyone just stop talking until it shuts off was fine. Even the poor unit layout and kitchen that doesn't have any drawers large enough to fit one of those silverware... read more
