We moved my Aunt to Mustang Creek Estates the very first day they opened. We are so glad we did. Her progress has been amazing. At MCE she is doing more things for herself, she is more interactive, smiles more. She has high compliments for the food served. I have shared meals with her from time to time and I agree. Yum! I appreciate the convenient location and friendliness of the staff. The common areas are well maintained but would like to see improvements in cleaning resident rooms and paper supplies.

The communication up front on the process, what to expect, I like the smaller scale / house set up. Works well for my mom. They respond quickly to my questions.

The food is not tasty at all. The staff that has been there long term is great. The rest are hit or miss at best. The management staff was caring and accommodating. The overall staffing model is not feasible. There are too many residents per staff, and staff are not adequately trained to handle medical needs.

Their pharmacy made mistakes with her medication, sometimes had to wait awhile for food or assistance getting in or out of bed and for showers

I’d say they should take the time to visit communities and interact with the people there, do their research about payment options, and make sure they can afford things in the long run before selecting a place. MC has been a good fit for my MIL.

I would say it is a nice facility but very costly; as are most. Care staff come and go before I learn their names but a few are still in place longer. The facility appears clean. My husband says the food is bad, but he eats it. I have sampled different things on his plate and it tastes fine to me. All of this i hear about other facilities too, so it seems to be a commonality My husband needs help with everything and I do see care staff tending to his needs when I'm there anyway.
