I do not recommend Mustang Creek Estates Flower Mound.
I liked Mustang Creek. Mom was only there six days, but it was long enough to know that the management and staff were terrific; always helpful and kind.

She likes everything except the food is bad (she says 3 out of ten and cold usually) and too many folks are non mobile/non interactive vegetables... Overall I'd say four out of five stars.
Experience in block A has been stellar. Block B has been met with some difficulty in making sure bed sores didn't worsen and linens/diapers were regularly changed. Staff has been kind and engaged. Very helpful.

They are having staffing problems so they cannot fulfill their commitments for the plan of care. I took my husband out after one month.
I write this review not wanting to, but I feel like I need to for the benefit of other potential customers. My brother and I entered into an agreement with Mustang Creek Estates (MCE) Assisted Living on [date removed], with the intent to move our 90-year-old father into assisted living immediately. The good first: New construction; doors unlocked but alarm activated until code is put in the keypad by staff; kept fairly clean; trash emptied in a timely manner; plenty of food prepared. Bad: The staff was always friendly BUT most of them were new and inexperienced. We spoke with the director several times about our loved one NOT being checked on very often. Comments: Mustang Creek is incredibly responsive and communicative until you sign the contract. In addition to your move-in fee - you have to pay a 14-day additional fee if your loved one dies there otherwise you have to pay a 30-day move out fee. My father was literally catatonic for an entire at least one half day and the staff just ignored him - they wheeled him out and he just sat there. They had no idea he was on his last day until I called indicating that our visitors had been unable to "wake" him afternoon. Apparently... read more
