Great location and cheaper than a lot of what is around. Really nice staff too they answered all of my questions during the tour even though I asked a million of them since it's my first time renting

Great staff and response times, but I've had mediocre experience with the quality of the hardware installed by default in the apartment (showerhead/ac/sink)

i WOULD recommend living here to my worst enemy. terrible management and maintenance and they're raising rent next year?? you can find better for cheaper. my roommate and i have been asking for the past few MONTHS for pest control and i just came home today to hundreds of gnats which entered from our windows which have NO screens despite our having asked for MONTHS. whenever i tried to complain about things taking too long, they would speak to me as if i was crazy and unreasonable. finals week or my final week!!!!! everyday ... read more

the spoke does a magnificent job at making this the worst place to live so that when you move out to literally anywhere else it feels like luxury and prestige.

To The Spoke owners and management, I don't live there personally yet the reviews I've heard from residents is extremely poor. My personal experience is I would ask the owners to consider if they lived there how they'd want to be treated also the grounds, especially the driveways in and out to J street are so abrupt all the low vehicles are scraping the ground trying to slowly enter or exit. With the cost of cosmetic damage it's a real thing for residents and couriers driving in and out daily. Too, if you want better review... read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE -- Save Yourself the Headache I lived at The Spoke for two years, and I genuinely wish someone had warned me about how bad it truly is. If I could give zero stars, I would. Let me start by saying the apartment I was given looked nothing like the one they showed on the tour. I was told it was a "600 sq ft" unit, but after measuring, it was barely 400 sq ft. At move-in, the shower head was broken, cabinet doors didn't close properly, and there was rat poop in the kitchen. They slap on what's known as the "la... read more

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE This apartment complex is right behind the train tracks which is extremely dangerous because of the large homeless encampments. A homeless person broke into my friends apartment and another pulled a machete on us in the parking lot. This is not a safe place to live for any student!

Student housing is student housing, but as a parent I have been underwhelmed by the spoke. Crappy maintenance, rats, mildew, excuses for not fixing sewer lines in a timely fashion. Up charges for everything, predatory fines for late fees (which would be ok if they themselves fixed things in a timely manner). But again.... part of the college experience, lol.
