Do not live here! RIP OFF! Let me start off by saying when my bf and I wanted to live together in 2018 they (Stephanie Fuhks) said they would charge "per bed" aka PER PERSON. So that means that we would pay extra rent because of an extra person...even though we were going to share the same bed. How ridiculous is that? I have a feeling that's how they found the loophole of not being able to raise rent a certain percentage per year. THE SPOKE HAS NO BIKERACKS. My gf lives in the front near the leasing office and the nearest bike rack is a football field away. And if you use the rack near the leasing office you'll get a nasty letter. There's also loose cement at the top of the stares so good change this place is gonna get sued when someone slips

Although I completely understand (and don't disagree) to the one-star reviews before me, I decided to give this place 3 stars. The location of the complex is conveniently located at waking distance from Downtown. Unfortunately it is also right next to the railroad tracks, which is particularly noisy if your apartment is on that side. The complex is old, but reasonably well maintained and clean. This apartment complex is the worst place I have ever lived in. Not only is the management unorganized and chaotic, but the infrastructure of the buildings are extremely poor. Thin walls, creaky floors, and lack of updates have made this place the worst facility I have ever experienced. My roommates and I didn't have an outdoor gate and due to managements lack of care and empathy we experienced theft. DO NOT LIVE HERE. This complex is poorly managed, cockroach infested, and overpriced. oh and don't plan on getting s security deposit even if you live in immaculate conditions. Not to mention the fact there is no parking and theft problem. Also, the structure of this complex is poorly designed and the walls are paper thin. Despite the updated kitchen, it is too small to have more than one person cooking at a time. On the bright side there is a pool for the hot davis days...but i wouldn't recommend getting in...

Lived here from August 2016-August 2018 because the location was convenient. The place is very outdated. Hot water went out for days to weeks at a time. Pipes were so old they let out a loud high pitched noise when pressure built up. Loud enough to wake people up and keep them up. They said that there was nothing that they could do about it. Cars are left abandoned in the parking lot for months. Old loud AC wall unit makes for very hot summers and expensive PG&E bill. What finally did it for me was when the month I was endin... read more

My experience with leasing at The Spoke has been unnecessarily strenuous. Management of the property is very slow to respond, and any response made is unprofessional and unhelpful. Hidden fees and other unannounced conditions are only explained and announced to you after you sign your legally-binding lease. My advice: stay away from these apartments.
