We had a main water line leak at our house and called TLC to come fix it. We dug up the line and exposed the leak to where all they had to do was fix the leak. While the staff did a good job in the repair we were way over charged. Cost us $980 for them to cut the PVC pipe and put some PEX line in, about 2’ worth. While I understand we are paying for a licensed professional service the pricing was ridiculously over priced for the amount of labor and time that TLC utilized for this. Aparently when one of you're service techs doesn't know how to properly address a safety device on a water heater, they just hack something together, disabling the safety. Putting homeowners and their families in danger after they trust you to work in their house is unacceptable workmanship.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I moved to Albuquerque about 6 months ago, prior to purchasing my house, my realtor provided me a list of HVAC/electricity/plumbing companies to come do the inspections, etc & I used TLC as they were the ones who could come out & do the inspections the soonest. On the report, it basically said everything was ok, except for the boiler needing to be replaced along with a pump & the fireplace needing a shut off valve installed. TLC promises "prompt, professional and courteous" service (according to the message that plays while on hold with their offices). I had a scheduled appointment from 8-12. TLC attempted to contact my cellphone at 9:19 and 9:20 AM. The technician left no voicemails. I received a call at 9:22 from dispatch who did leave a voicemail. I returned the call at 9:26 where I spoke with someone who said that because I didn't answer the three attempts made at 9:19-9:20am I was off of their schedule and assumed to be a no-show. Normally I would use them, they’ve always been somewhat reliable until recently. We made an appointment to have someone come and check if they could install a sink, and I took the day off of work to meet them. They never showed up and never called. This happened twice, and seeing as how I cannot miss work again I will no longer be using their services.

I had a plumbing emergency at 6am, and called TLC at 645am. Was told I could revive a call back from a dispatcher. No call, so I called back and got a call from the dispatcher who said they would have someone out within the hour. I did not receive a call back from TLC until 8pm that evening. The dispatcher told me they were not busy and had only one other call that evening. When I was called back at 8pm, the guy told me they were so busy. Again I called at 645 AM! TLC pulled the permit for an HVAC (Heating, Ventillation, and Cooling) installation, did almost all of the work, but never got a final inspection, for which the TLC contractor was responsible. So, the permit expired. Now I can't get the gas turned on without renewing the mechanical permit and passing the final inspection. Only a licensed mechanical contractor can apply for or renew a permit. TLC refuses to renew the permit. So, I have no hot water in my house. I cannot cook anything since I have a gas stove and oven.
