My dog was very sick suddenly a few nights ago. We tried to bring her to our local vet but the doctor was on his way out and wouldn't take a minute to look at my poor dog. We cabbed over to this hospital and I am so glad we came. First of all we saved $90 on our first visit by checking in on yelp! This made such a difference because we had to do a ton of bloodwork on our dog and the bill came out to $300 dollars anyway. Jenny, the front desk lady, is especially great. She's always been friendly and helpful. It's not an easy task to work with frantic pet daddies and mommies calling for help, but Jenny has always been level headed and handles things with grace. My dog has been a client there for years and Jenny has always been sweet. Kudos!
As a happy cat mama of three, my husband and I look for the best pet care. After moving back to NY, I was reluctant to leave our previous vet who provided excellent care. After searching, we found Dr. Holroyde, who attended the same ivy-league vet school as our last vet. We have one very difficult baby who likes to pee blood for unknown causes. For more years than I like to admit (30+ years) I have been bringing my animals to Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital. My pets have lived and died with the help of staff and doctors who have always been caring, loving and understanding. My favorite doctor (Dr. Kaprowski, who actually came to my apartment to send my beloved kitty off to kitty heaven in the comfort of his home and my arms) has left the practice but I am very happy with Dr. Holroyde and have met other doctors too who have always gotten the job done well. I completely trust TriBeCa Soho Animal (and the other affiliated offices) - the vets on staff are high caliber and know what they are talking about. The lack of extra stars is due to the cost and the propensity for up sell. I feel like a terrible dog owner turning down services but many are not necessary and I dread every visit wondering what tough decision I may be faced with for my healthy, normal dog.
We really, really love this place. Our giant mastiff mix is not the easiest beast to handle, but the vets and staff here are true pros, as well as animal lovers, and they take excellent care of him. I especially like Dr. Koprowski, who's great with big doggies. It's kind of on the expensive side, but completely worthwhile. Highly recommend.
Dr. Yoshida is so fantastic. I had a terribly traumatic experience with my puppy last night - she was vomiting uncontrollably and after going to ER at the hospital on 5th and 15th that misdiagnosed her and made her worse and did not notice a massive obstruction in her stomach - and Dr. Yoshida was so wonderful in her care and explanation of everything and taking care of my baby with such urgency. When it comes to your pet, they might as well be your child. No one wants to worry about how good or legit their Vet/Animal Hospital is, especially when THEIR supposed to be the ones making your pet feel better! I couldn't have landed on a better facility to place in the hands of my adopted dog. Since rescuing him 4 years ago, they have taken care of him, kept him up to date on his necessary shots, but yet not always prescribing a medicine with out first seeing how he reacts to the simple changes they advise. Thank God for TSAH. The LOML (love of my life) my doggie wasn't feeling well. In keeping with his high maintenance mode it happened to be a Sunday, very practical. He's a small dog and I take anything wrong with I'm seriously. I did some research and was led here. I called Sunday morning and they got me in at one in the afternoon.
