I took my kitten here when she developed a cold and I needed to find a vet in my neighborhood on short notice. I called first thing in the morning and they fit me in; I also really appreciated that my 8:15 appointment began at 8:15. Everyone here seems to really love animals, and Dr. Slate was extremely compassionate. I would definitely recommend.

Our two large breed dogs have been going to the Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital for about 2 years. When we lived in lower Manhattan we saw the vets at the sister location in Battery Park. Even now that we live on Roosevelt Island we still travel in to Tribeca to see the doctors here. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind and they seem to really take their time and care about the dogs. The office is large and fresh and the whole place has a comfortable and modern feel about it. I've been coming to Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital for last five years and I haven't really had a bad experience there besides occasional long wait for the visit. Dr. Martel had been my doctor for a while and after he left I started seeing dr. Lee. Both doctors were always very pleasant and professional and I can't say anything bad about them. I've taken my cats here infrequently over the past five years, and haven't had a bad experience yet. Took one in yesterday, and found the animal techs/front desk staff to be pleasant, efficient and informative. The exam room was clean, and the tech used acceptable clean technique at all times. Dr. Carbonell was gentle and attentive to my cat, and answered all of my questions. Her treatment was conservative, and totally appropriate. I saw Dr. Lee for my Cat and Dr. Yoshida for my Dog. They were both fine. They did what needed to be done and my animals left healthy with the problems fixed. The techs that let me in and did the pre-workup with temps and weights and initial questions seemed very qualified, pet-loving, and had excellent people skills. It's a difficult situation when your pet is ill. You can feel a bit helpless and you just want to make things better for your much-loved little friend as quickly as possible. My experience with Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital is that they're very friendly, caring and knowledgeable animal-lovers. They demonstrate a genuine interest in my dog (Bacon) and conduct themselves professionally. I will start out by saying that I do believe this vet is competent, knowledgeable, communicative, and thoughtful -- what I had an issue with was the lack of practicality/tendency to recommend extreme measures/rigidity and refusal to work with me and my preferences. I have a 17 year old cat with numerous issues. Do not go this hospital if you love your pets . They over charged and have no regards for pets welfare . They almost killed my poor cats . Bad charlatans.

I had been taking my dear cat Bella to this vet since she was a baby (2008). Previously, the service had been great but during the pandemic everything changed. My vet that I had been seeing changed and they became severely understaffed. By their own admission and per an email sent to customer this hospital is "understaffed due to the pandemic". While that is sad - What is more sad is having a sick animal not be able to get the care they need in a timely manner. NYC is busy place, for sick people and animals. What I would do... read more
