I had been taking my dear cat Bella to this vet since she was a baby (2008). Previously, the service had been great but during the pandemic everything changed. My vet that I had been seeing changed and they became severely understaffed. By their own admission and per an email sent to customer this hospital is "understaffed due to the pandemic". While that is sad - What is more sad is having a sick animal not be able to get the care they need in a timely manner. NYC is busy place, for sick people and animals. What I would do... read more

Reasonably clean. Staff are mostly professional and vets are adequate. I did not fear my pet would be mistreated or receive poor medical care. But... they are very very expensive and their Vets strongly "encourage" (pressure) you to take every possible medical action on behalf of your pet with no regard to costs or sensitivity to your economic ability. Make no mistake... the name "Hospital" notwithstanding, this is a profit seeking business entity which is hawking its services for profit. Like funeral and nursing home... read more

I waited a while to write this review. I had to have an aged and terminally ill dog put down here. First they recommended all sorts of hugely expensive procedures. Only after being pressed, did they acknowledge these procedures had little chance of extending its life beyond a couple of months. When the poor thing was put down, I felt bad enough and then they tried to sell me on an extremely expensive pet cremation/cemetery. 2 1/2 stars I called and the receptionist was really nice... I had a pressing question and told her what my situation was. It's not a life threatening emergency but it's serious enough to have the vet actually call me back. I called a couple minutes after 6 and they close at 7. No call. Maybe there was a valid reason, however considering I really really needed a couple questions answered, I'm super disappointed they didn't call me back. I took my little 13 pound dog in because his gums were bleeding and he had a bruise on his shoulder. The vet sent me home and told me to keep an eye on him. The next day, he was urinating pure blood and I took him back. Another vet looked at him and deduced an UTI. He was dead within 6 hours. They never thought my poor dog might have been poisoned. I really wanted to like this hospital because of its location despite what Ive heard from other pet owners in the area. But , this weekend I had to bring my pet in for routine stuff and I felt as though I was being rushed (1) and (2) the person assisting the vet did not know what they were doing, my pet was very uncomfortable and after I just heard stories about staff at this place being abusive and unprofessional, I quickly pushed to end the appt. It just didnt feel right . I would not recommend.

Please be very aware. I brought my pug into this hosp for an ear growth of some sort. She was seen by Dr. Lee who seemed nice and very attentive BUT after a schedule for surgery was set for the following week, I was never called regarding the results of the cytology report AND when I phoned the office on Mon, Tue and Wed 2x's was given a brushoff by Lima and jessica who couldnt be bothered to give my messages to anyone, Lima actually told me she was too busy to take the message and if I could call back again.
